Bristol City vs Leicester Prediction: Foxes too cute for misfiring Robins

Even by its own high standards, the Championship is proving to be an absolute battleground this season. Going into this midweek round of games, which takes most teams to 20 matches played, Stoke City in sixth had just four points to spare over Leicester City in 14th.
The Foxes got back on track by winning the East Midlands bragging rights at Derby County over the weekend and, so tight is the table, they would move above hosts Bristol City - seventh starting this round of games - with a win at Ashton Gate on Wednesday (19:45 kick-off, live on Sky Sports+). Below are my Bristol City vs Leicester predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Robins boss Gerhard Struber handed Jason Knight a first start since September after a groin problem in the weekend defeat against Millwall and the Irishman may retain his place now.
Defenders Luke McNally (knee) and Rob Atkinson (hamstring) are expected to miss out for the home side, while Max Bird, Josh Stokes and Joe Williams are confirmed absentees.
Harry Souttar is a long-term worry for Leicester, while the Foxes are set to be missing promising midfielder Aaron Ramsey, as well as defensive duo Caleb Okoliand and rising star Victor Kristiansen.
Boubakary Soumare missed the win at Derby with a knee problem and looks like being out until the New Year.

Bristol City vs Leicester Odds
Bristol City are 13/10 with home advantage behind him, while Leicester are 21/10 to make it back-to-back away wins and the draw trades at 9/4.
Over 2.5 goals is rated 1/1, while both teams to score is priced at 8/11.
Bristol City vs Leicester Stats
- Bristol City have kept the most clean sheets in the Championship this season with seven
- Leicester scored nine goals in their last five Championship matches
Leicester to win @ 21/10
Leicester look overpriced to win at Ashton Gate, where Bristol City have managed only four home league wins in 10 attempts this season, losing two of the last three while failing to score in both.
The Foxes have gained three wins in the last five games and were unfortunate to run into sides in flying form when they met Southampton and Sheffield United.
Marti Cifuentes would have been hugely pleased with Saturday's East Midlands derby victory, the Rams slaughtered by half-time as the Foxes ran riot to lead 3-0 at the break.
Bristol City have won just two of their last seven, against strugglers Swansea and Portsmouth, and they may find this Leicester side in the mood to wreak havoc again on the road.
Only Coventry City (6) and Blackburn Rovers (5) have picked up more away wins in the division this season.

Jordan James anytime goalscorer @ 4/1
Wales international Jordan James backed his side to climb the table before the weekend win at Pride Park, insisting: "The players we have got are Premier League players and it will show. I genuinely believe that."
The 21-year-old Rennes loanee is going along way to ensuring Leicester will use their option to buy next summer.
He scored one and laid on another in the win against Derby, making it back-to-back goals following his strike in the loss against Sheffield United.
He only debuted for the club in mid-September, but already has five goals and he scored his first international goal for Wales in last month's win over Liechtenstein.
