There were two correct scores between us for last week's Championship predictions, so kudos to Nick and Simon. I'm looking for my first correct score since the opening weekend, so hopefully my fortunes will change for Gameweek 4.

With some cracking fixtures coming our way, here are our latest score predictions for the weekend.

Leicester City vs Birmingham City - 1-1 @ 5/1

Leicester City have mostly had a strong start to the Championship season. Two wins from three, with a defeat coming at Preston North End. The Foxes face a tough test on Friday night as they welcome Birmingham City to the King Power.

The Blues are currently unbeaten in the second tier but this is equally a big test for them in their pursuit of a second-straight promotion. The visitors are in need of a response after a poor performance at home to Port Vale in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday despite the side being heavily rotated.

It's still early days in the season and neither side are going to be at their fluid best so I think they will cancel each other out.

Nick: 2-2

Simon: 1-2

Middlesbrough vs Sheffield United - 3-1 @ 16/1

Middlesbrough have had a flying start to the season under Rob Edwards with a perfect record in the Championship. The same can't be said for Sheffield United, who head to the Riverside on Saturday.

The Blades have lost three in a row as their shortcomings in the squad are being exposed. New players are needed in this final week of the window but I fear a fourth consecutive defeat awaits them here.

Nick: 1-1

Simon: 1-0

Championship Odds

QPR vs Charlton Athletic - 1-2 @ 8/1

Queens Park Rangers were pummelled 7-1 at Coventry City last weekend as their winless start to the campaign continued. Boss Julien Stephan vowed that things would improve for their clash with Charlton Athletic this weekend but I think the best they can do is lower the volume of goals.

Charlton are a tough nut to crack and I think they can further add to the Rs' frustrations at the weekend.

Nick: 1-2

Simon: 1-1

Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion @ 1-1 @ 5/1

Mark Robins' Stoke City have come out of the traps flying, picking up a maximum nine points in the second tier so far. They host West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, who themselves have had a strong start to proceedings, with seven points collected so far.

This will be a tough test for both sides and I believe a point would be considered a good result amongst both camps.

Nick: 1-1

Simon: 2-2

Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion - Correct Score Draw 1-1

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Blackburn Rovers vs Norwich City - 1-2 @ 9/1

Blackburn Rovers secured their first league win of the campaign in a stunning 3-0 showing at Hull City last weekend. They are back at Ewood Park on Saturday as they welcome Norwich City.

The Canaries have just the one win themselves and they will look to respond after losing at home to Middlesbrough last time out. This will be a tough trip for Norwich but with the quality they have in attack, I think they can nick a victory in Lancashire.

Nick: 2-1

Simon: 2-0

Bristol City vs Hull City - 3-1 @ 14/1

Bristol City were denied three points last weekend as they conceded a late equaliser against Derby County. The Robins return to Ashton Gate on Saturday looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season against Hull City.

The Tigers may still be reeling from their thrashing at home last week and I predict that they will get beaten for the second game in a row.

Nick: 2-0

Simon: 1-0

Today's Football Fixtures

Ipswich Town vs Derby County - 2-0 @ 6/1

Pre-season title favourites Ipswich Town are still searching for their first Championship win and after losing at Preston North End last weekend, pressure could be starting to mount on Kieran McKenna.

The Tractor Boys are back at Portman Road on Saturday and Derby are the side visiting, and they too haven't had the best start to the season. The Rams have looked shaky at the back and I think this can help Ipswich collect a much-needed victory.

Nick: 2-0

Simon: 2-0

Millwall vs Wrexham - 2-3 @ 33/1

Newly-promoted Wrexham are another side who are desperate to land their first win, having come close on a couple of occasions only to drop points. They travel to Millwall, with the Lions winning two of their opening three fixtures to date.

I think this will be a tight contest but I have a feeling that this could be where Wrexham secure their first three points of the campaign - and I think there will be a few goals on offer.

Nick: 3-1

Simon: 2-1

Millwall vs Wrexham - Correct Score Wrexham 3-2

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Oxford United vs Coventry City - 1-3 @ 12/1

Oxford United are already worrying for the season ahead after losing their first three Championship matches, and it doesn't help that they are up against a Coventry side who fired seven goals past QPR last weekend.

The Sky Blues' attacking players are in red-hot form right now and I think this will continue at the Kassam Stadium.

Nick: 1-0

Simon: 1-2

Portsmouth vs Preston North End - 1-1 @ 5/1

Preston have been deemed relegation candidates by many heading into the season but the Lilywhites have just beaten Leicester and Ipswich back-to-back at Deepdale. They may not have the resources like some of their rivals but they are a team full of fight.

As are Portsmouth, who Preston travel to face at the weekend. Pompey have collected four points thus far and their home form last season was a driving force in them maintaining their Championship status. A share of the spoils I reckon.

Nick: 2-0

Simon: 0-0

Football Odds

Sheffield Wednesday vs Swansea City - 2-1 @ 10/1

They may not have enough senior players to name an XI but Sheffield Wednesday's players are doing everything they can in the face of adversity to help their struggling club. The Owls defeats Leeds United in the Carabao Cup in midweek and came from behind to earn a point at Wrexham last weekend - and they had the chances to put their first win on the board.

Swansea City head to Hillsborough on Saturday and they face a battle to come away with South Yorkshire with anything. I believe the hosts can edge this contest.

Nick: 0-2

Simon: 1-0

Watford vs Southampton - 1-1 @ 11/2

Southampton suffered a surprising defeat to 10-man Stoke City at St. Mary's last week and the Saints will look for an instant response at Watford. The Hornets were held to a draw at Swansea last weekend but after seeing what Stoke managed, they will fancy themselves to take something from the Saints.

I think it will be a while before Southampton become a truly frightening force - if at all - and I think another draw beckons for Watford.

Nick: 1-3

Simon: 0-2

Watford vs Southampton - Correct Score Draw 1-1
