Championship Accumulator Tips

  • Leicester City to beat Plymouth Argyle - 2/9
  • Southampton to beat Watford - 6/5
  • Cardiff City to beat Millwall - EVS
  • Sheffield Wednesday to beat Stoke City - 5/2

Accumulator pays at 17.82/1

Leicester City to beat Plymouth Argyle @ 2/9

After suffering a blip a few weeks ago in which they were beaten by both Leeds United and Middlesbrough, Leicester City have responded brilliantly by picking up seven points from the last nine available.

Enzo Maresca's side are still top of the league but just a point ahead of Ipswich Town, they will look to give themselves some breathing space during the hectic festive period. They welcome a Plymouth Argyle side who have been impressive at home, but not so much on the road. Of the 22 points they have picked up this season, 19 of them have come at Home Park.

The Foxes are demonstrating their might at this level and we are expecting them to win again at the King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Southampton to beat Watford @ 6/5

Southampton are currently on the longest unbeaten run in the Football League with 11 games without defeat. After a testing start for Russell Martin at the beginning of the campaign, the Saints have been growing with his style of play. They have won five of their last six league outings and they travel to face an inconsistent Watford side over the weekend.

The Hornets may have won two on the bounce but they will be facing much tougher opposition in the Saints and the visitors should have too much quality for them to handle.

Cardiff City to beat Millwall - EVS

It has been said several times already this season but Cardiff City have been one of the surprise packages in the Championship. The Bluebirds are currently 11th and three points off the play-off places.

They have lost their last two games but they will have an excellent opportunity to get back to winning ways on home soil against Millwall, who are still finding their feet under new boss Joe Edwards.

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Stoke City - 5/2

It wasn't so long ago that people were condemning Sheffield Wednesday to relegation. That was certainly the case under Xisco Munoz, but under his successor, Danny Rohl, the Owls' performances have improved exponentially.

Wednesday have won two of his first eight games in charge (Rotherham United and Blackburn Rovers), as well as taking a point off Leicester. The team looks very different to the one that was slugging along under Munoz and they are starting to find their rhythm in the second tier.

They travel to face Stoke City at the weekend in a game that is very winnable. The Potters have been very underwhelming this year despite decent investment over the summer. Manager Alex Neil is under huge pressure at the moment after three consecutive losses. It is hard not to fancy Wednesday here and it might just end up being the Scotsman's last game in charge of Stoke.
