Tottenham Hotspur vs Copenhagen Prediction: Backing two types of Spurs Wins at 15/8 & 12/5

We have only entered the start of November and the murmurs of discontent are already starting to rumble around N17. Tottenham left the field to a cacophony of boos on Saturday, some sections of the fanbase already asking if Thomas Frank is the right man for the Spurs job. 

In fairness to the former Brentford boss, he has overseen an unbeaten start to Spurs' Champions League schedule – a run that was extended with a hard-fought point at Monaco just a couple of weeks ago and if Tottenham can pick up a win at home to Copenhagen, it will further boost their hopes of a top eight berth. Team News 

Tottenham's stubbornly long injury list shows no sign of getting shorter before Tuesday night, if anything manager Thomas Frank may find himself with further concern before the visit of their Danish opponents. Lucas Bergvall the latest doubt, it will be touch and go as to whether he starts in midfield. 

Already unable to call upon Mathys Tel due to not being registered as a Champions League player, manager Frank now has to also work out how to get his Spurs side firing on any kind of cylinders. An abject attacking display at home to Chelsea on Saturday in the league, not something that can be repeated in just a few hours.  

While it must be noted that Tottenham do not have a monopoly on midweek injury doubts and with this Copenhagen side already perceived to be up against it in North London, their task would be slightly easier if manager Jacob Neestrup had a full strength squad to choose from. 

Which means the 37-year-old will be handing out late fitness tests to the experienced pair of Thomas Delaney and Andreas Cornelius along with former Southampton forward Mohamed Elyounoussi - the Moroccan international already missing out in the Matchday 3 defeat to Dortmund.   

Monaco vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds 

Tottenham are priced as clear favourites at 1/3 to win this game, with Copenhagen the underdogs at 17/2. That gives the home team an implied win probability of 75% while a draw can be backed at 9/2. 

BTTS has been priced at 1/1 and over 2.5 goals is 8/13, while Richarlison is the favourite to score first at 10/3.

Tottenham to win both halves @ 15/8 

In Tottenham's first Champions League game of the season, they started incredibly quick out of the blocks. Admittedly, the Villarreal keeper played a huge part in the game's only goal but it was an encouraging pace set by manager Thomas Frank as the Europa League holders were back among Europe's elite.  

With the need to ease the pressure on his shoulders, you get the feeling that the Dane is no mood to hang around when going up against an outfit from his own home nation and with the roar of the home crowd on another midweek European night, Tottenham should prove to be too hot to handle in both halves of this encounter.

If there is one thing that Tottenham cannot be accused of taking at the moment is risk and with this second tip, you could argue that I am doing precisely what they are not. An xG of just 0.05 was recorded at home to Chelsea on Saturday, not the figure that makes you rush to back plenty of goals for Tuesday's hosts. 

Then again, I think such a poor showing in the league, should lead to a positive reaction in the Champions League. Add the fact that Copenhagen's defence has been rather generous in Europe this season and although a home win on its own offers nothing in the way of value, giving the visitors a two-goal lead in the handicap market certainly does.
