Manchester City vs Real Madrid Bet Builder Tips: Haaland & Mbappe to strike in 33/1 punt

Manchester City and Real Madrid collide in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday (20:00, Prime Video) for the fourth season in a row. Unlike previous encounters, they are meeting much earlier in the competition, as they square up in the two-legged play-offs for a place in the round of 16.
Both sides fell short of expectation in the league phase and one of them now faces a premature exit in the pursuit of European glory. Read on for my Manchester City vs Real Madrid bet builder tips, which pay out at an attractive 33/1.

Manchester City vs Real Madrid Odds
Draw
Man City didn't give a glowing account of themselves in their FA Cup fourth-round victory at Leyton Orient on Saturday but Pep Guardiola did make several changes, so a lot of his key personnel are expected to come back into the team to face Madrid.
The Etihad Stadium has been a happier place in recent months as the Citizens are unbeaten in their last five appearances here in all competitions, including four victories. In those five games, they have mustered 19 goals, so they are looking like they are rediscovering their attacking fluidity.
They will feel like they can cause Los Blancos problems but the visitors can cause trouble of their own. City still look shaky defensively and their past five European matches have seen them fail to record a clean sheet. The hosts have also conceded seven goals in their last three appearances in all competitions.
While Real Madrid have not looked like their best in the Champions League this season, you can never write them off. They always seem to find a way to get a result when needed and I think they can dig deep to take a draw back to the Santiago Bernabeu ahead of the second leg.
Over 3.5 goals
I do think the goals could flow in M11 as each of the previous four contests here across all competitions have had at least four goals. This threshold was also met in three of the Citizens' four home contests in the league phase of the Champions League, which have come consecutively ahead of their tussle with the defending champions.
Over 3.5 goals was a successful bet in five of Madrid's eight clashes in the previous stage of the competition, but just one of them came on their travels. Given what's at stake, both sets of attackers need to rise to the occasion, and I think this will lead to a flurry of goals in east Manchester.
Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe anytime goalscorers
Speaking or rising to the occasion, this is the perfect game for the front men on both teams to step up and deliver the goods for their respective sides. With both teams looking vulnerable defensively, I think there is value to be had in backing both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to get on the scoresheet.
Haaland has scored more frequently in Europe with six so far this term, while Mbappe has just the three. However, the Frenchman may have been saving his best stuff for the knockout stage but he heads into this fixture in good form, having netted 10 goals in his last eight outings in all competitions.
A game of this magnitude is built for the star players to grab the headlines, and these two strikers are at the front of the queue. The pair have registered 33 attempts apiece in Europe so far, so chances are never in short supply.
Jude Bellingham 1+ fouls
Another player who could grab the headlines is Madrid's Jude Bellingham, who is not a popular figure in this part of the world, mainly because City were interested in signing him from Borussia Dortmund.
The former Birmingham City man loves to get stuck into all aspects of the game, and while he is elegant with the ball, he can be gritty without it. The England international loves to get physical in the challenge, and he has been penalised 12 times in the Champions League already this campaign.
With this game coming with such high stakes, he's going to have to be imposing at the Etihad.
Jude Bellingham 1+ shots on target
This bet builder is also rounded off by the Englishman, as I think he offers good value to have a shot on target. He has two goals against Man City in six career appearances.
Bellingham has recorded 12 shots in the Champions League this season and four of them have hit the target, two of which have produced goals. I think he will have a big part to play in this play-off tie, and against a City defence that has looked uncomfortable for months, he could gain a few openings at goal on Tuesday.
