Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Prediction: Ekitike on target in Deutsche Bank Park return

Liverpool fell to a fourth consecutive defeat on Sunday, losing 2-1 at home to Premier League rivals Manchester United. Arne Slot's side now turn their attentions to the Uefa Champions League as they head to Germany in midweek, looking to bring an end to their rotten run of form against Eintracht Frankfurt, who are struggling themselves, having lost three of their last five games (W1, D1).
Below are my Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds, ahead of this league phase contest at Deutsche Bank Park.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Betting Tips
- Anytime Goalscorer - Jonathan Burkardt (SGE) @ 15/8
- Bet Builder - Florian Wirtz (LIV) 1+ Assists & Hugo Ekitike (LIV) 1+ Goals @ 4/1

Team News
Elias Baum (thigh) is injured for Eintracht, who could make several changes to their starting XI following Sunday's 2-2 draw with Freiburg.
Mario Gotze, Ellyes Skhiri and Ansgar Knauff could all earn promotions after coming off the bench at the weekend.
Liverpool are also expected to make several alterations to their starting XI following Sunday's shocking display against Man United.
Jeremie Frimpong, Andy Robertson, Curtis Jones, Florian Wirtz, Federico Chiesa and Hugo Ekitike, who joined the Reds in the summer after a sensational season with Eintracht, could all start for Arne Slot's side.
Ryan Gravenberch (ankle) is doubtful after coming off injured on the weekend, while Alisson Becker (groin) and Giovanni Leoni (knee) are definitely ruled out, with Wataru Endo (hamstring) also potentially missing on Wednesday.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Predicted Lineups

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Odds
Eintracht, who have lost their last two home games, are 4/1, or a 20% chance, to beat Liverpool, who are 4/7 to return to winning ways, with the draw priced at 18/5.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Liverpool Stats
- Burkardt (SGE) has seven goals in his last six club apps
- Wirtz (LIV) has four assists in seven career games against SGE
- Ekitike (LIV) scored five times in his first eight matches this term
Anytime Goalscorer - Jonathan Burkardt (SGE) @ 15/8
This looks like a generous price to me.
Eintracht are at home, have scored 33 goals across 10 games this season and have only blanked in a 3-0 home defeat to Bayern Munich on October 4.
Liverpool have conceded in their last seven matches, shipping 11 goals, including two in three of their last four.
Eintracht striker Jonathan Burkardt, who sealed a big-money switch from Mainz in the summer after netting 18 times in 29 Bundesliga appearances last season, has hit the ground running in Frankfurt.
The 25-year-old got off the mark with a brace in Eintracht's first Champions League game, a 5-1 thrashing of Galatasaray at Deutsche Bank Park, and made it five goals in four with strikes against Union Berlin, Borussia Monchengladbach and Atletico Madrid.
He, like the rest of his teammates, failed to fire against Bayern, but he was back amongst the goals last Sunday, scoring both of Eintracht's goals in their 2-2 draw at Freiburg.
Having struck in both Champions League outings so far, scoring three times, Burkardt is good value to net again in Europe on Wednesday.

Bet Builder - Florian Wirtz (LIV) 1+ Assists & Hugo Ekitike (LIV) 1+ Goals @ 4/1
Wirtz hasn't registered a goal or assist in the Premier League or Champions League for Liverpool, but perhaps he will find comfort in facing Eintracht, a club he has faced seven times before in his career (six starts).
The Germany star has one goal and four assists to his name against the Eagles, who have shipped 17 goals across their last five games.
Wirtz provided the pre-assist on Sunday, passing to Chiesa, who turned the ball across the goal for Gakpo to tap home.
Slot will hope his 22-year-old playmaker can register an even more meaningful contribution in Frankfurt as he looks to kickstart his Reds career.
He may even provide an assist for Ekitike, who will be looking to put at least one past the side he enjoyed two successful seasons at before leaving for Liverpool in the summer.
Ekitike made a great start to life at Liverpool, scoring five goals in his first eight appearances, but a red card against Southampton on September 23 has stunted his progress. He was suspended for the 2-1 defeat at Crystal Palace and has only started two of the Merseyside club's last three games, with Alexander Isak preferred up top in losses to Chelsea and Man United.
The 23-year-old is expected to be restored to the starting XI on Wednesday, and I'm backing him to deliver in front of the fans who were cheering him on earlier this year.
