Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Bet Builder Tips: Simeone’s side backed to reach semi-finals

Atletico Madrid secured a shock 2-0 win at Camp Nou last week in the first leg of their Uefa Champions League quarter-final tie with FC Barcelona, who must win by two goals at the Metropolitano Stadium on Tuesday (20:00 BST, TNT Sports 1) just to force extra time.
Below are my Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Bet Builder Tips as I serve up an 11/2 shot from three selections.

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona Odds
Handicap 3 Way 2.0 - Atletico Madrid +2
Atleti have lost just three times at home across all competitions this season, and all three defeats, against Real Betis (0-1), Barcelona (1-2) - both in La Liga - and Bodo/Glimt (1-2) in the Champions League, were by a single goal.
Their loss to Barcelona earlier this month was heavily affected by a first-half red card shown to Nicolas Gonzalez, too, with the score at 1-1 when the Argentina was dismissed, and it took until the 87th minute for Robert Lewandowski to strike the away side's winner.
The hosts should be well rested for this contest, with head coach Diego Simeone changing his entire starting XI for Saturday's 2-1 league reverse at Sevilla, and their task is simple: avoid a two-goal defeat.
Atletico may not be the defensive force of old, when the likes of Diego Godin and Miranda were marshalling Thibaut Courtois' goal, but they can still grind a result out when required, and with a two-goal advantage, I'm confident they can qualify for the semi-finals on Tuesday without needing extra time or penalties.
Koke (ATM) Fouls Committed - 2+
Atleti midfielder Koke has been booked in both previous head-to-heads this month, making two fouls in his side's league defeat on April 4 at the Metropolitano before committing three four days later in their European victory at Camp Nou.
The 34-year-old is averaging one and 1.2 fouls per 90 in this season's La Liga and Champions League, respectively, but he's made 2+ fouls in three of his four appearances against Barcelona in 2026; the first two outings were in a two-legged Copa del Rey semi-final tie.
With Atletico looking to break up the play at every opportunity on Tuesday, I expect the Spaniard to commit at least a couple more offences, especially with Barcelona midfielder Pedri, averaging 3.1 fouls won per 90 in this season's Champions League, set to start again.
Joao Cancelo (BAR) Fouls Committed - 2+
Barcelona full-back Joao Cancelo has started his side's last three games against Atleti, and in all three, the Portugal international has committed exactly two fouls, earning a yellow in the Copa del Rey second-leg victory (3-0) on March 3 and last week's Champions League first leg.
The 31-year-old is likely to face another tough night on Tuesday against Atleti winger Giuliano Simeone, who is averaging 2.1 fouls won per 90 in the Champions League this season.
