Arsenal vs PSG Prediction: Gunners to overcome French test

Two sides still searching for their maiden Champions League titles will go head-to-head on Tuesday night, as Arsenal welcome French giants Paris Saint-Germain to the Emirates Stadium (20:00, live on Prime Video).

Arsenal shared the spoils with Atalanta on matchday one, while PSG left it late to beat Girona, but both sides come into the game off the back of comfortable victories at the weekend. Read on for my Arsenal vs PSG prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Tierney and Takehiro Tomiyasu will play no part in Tuesday's game for the hosts, while Ben White has missed Arsenal's last two outings with a knee issue.

Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber are expected to start once again in defence, while Bukayo Saka will get the nod out wide.

As for the visitors, Luis Enrique will be without the likes of Goncalo Ramos, Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio and Desire Doue.

Gianluigi Donnarumma is also a doubt for the trip to the Emirates after missing PSG's last few matches due to a thigh issue.

The Gunners are favourites at 8/11, giving them an implied win probability of 57.9%, with the draw priced up at 11/4 and PSG are 18/5 to pick up three points at the Emirates.

If you fancy both teams to score, that's available at 4/6, while Kai Havertz is favourite to score anytime at 9/5, followed by Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, who are both 15/8.

Bradley Barcola is standing tall on top of the Ligue 1 scoring table with six goals in as many games – two of them coming in PSG’s most recent league game at the weekend - and he's 11/4 to net anytime on Tuesday night.

Mikel Arteta’s side rank among the favourites to win the Champions League this term and they’ll be desperate to show why on Tuesday night, having drew a blank on matchday one.

Both sides are yet to taste defeat this season, but PSG's away form in this competition makes me lean towards an Arsenal win on Tuesday - Enrique's side lost three of their six away trips in this competition last term, and have won just four of their previous 15 away games in total in the Champions League.

Arsenal, meanwhile, have won six of their last seven at home and given how they've started the new Premier League season, backing another win at the Emirates feels like the way to go.

Gabriel Martinelli to score anytime @ 23/10

Gabriel Martinelli looks like he could be a real threat in this clash, having put together a fine run of form in recent weeks. The Brazilian scored on Saturday and also had two efforts on target, and while he got into good positions against Atalanta, the end product just wasn't there.

He'll likely up against right-back Achraf Hakimi in this game, who tends to push forward frequently, and the Brazilian's pace in behind could cause problems.

Martinelli scored twice in this competition last season, but also missed several games due to injury, so he'll be eager to make his mark on this campaign.
