Scottish Cup action dominates our thinking this weekend, with the knockout competition reaching the quarter-finals. Celtic host Livingston in Glasgow, with the game kicking-off at 14:30 and available to watch live on Viaplay Sports 1.

Betfred’s Scottish Football expert Frank Monkhouse previews the encounter and offers up his best bets as part of his Celtic vs Livingston predictions...

Celtic vs Livingston Betting Tips

  • Celtic win to nil @ 7/10
  • Celtic 3-0 @ 11/2

Followers of football north of the border have an exciting weekend ahead with the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.

Both halves of the Old Firm are in action on Sunday, with Celtic hosting Livingston before Rangers travel to Hibs.

The Glasgow teams are expected to progress without fuss, but this tournament is famous for throwing up some surprise results and shock wins.

Will the current champions avoid a potential banana skin by using home advantage to beat Livingston?

Sunday will be the third time the Bhoys and Lions have met this season, with Celtic boasting two wins and a 5-0 aggregate.

The stats don’t do much to inspire confidence in an away win, but Livi are in Glasgow with confidence and will fancy their chances after seeing Celtic lose last weekend at Tynecastle in the Premiership. They have nothing to lose here and everything to gain.

Celtic vs Livingston Odds

Celtic booked their place in the last eight and a home game against fellow Premiership side Livingston with a hard-fought 2-0 win over St Mirren in Paisley.

The Saints are higher in the league than Livi, meaning another strong Celtic win is expected. Will Brendan Rodgers’ side confirm their participation in the semi-finals and book a place at Hampden?

Betfred traders certainly think so and make this a case of how many Celtic will win by.

Do you agree with the betting and fancy a home win in Sunday’s game broadcast live on television? Celtic is priced at 1/12 to win this game, and although tight, that will appear in a few weekend multiples and accumulators.

Perhaps you prefer a famous away win for David Martindale in Glasgow? Back Livingston at 16/1, or try your luck on the draw at 7/1.

Celtic win to nil @ 7/10

We’ll take our lead from the two previous games involving Celtic and Livingston this season and back the home team to win the game without conceding a goal. The win-to-nil market is a great option when you’re backing a favourite at home but want a shot at better odds than is available in the match-winner market.

Celtic won 3-0 at Livingston back in September and followed that with an equally impressive 2-0 home win days before Christmas.

With the hosts also beating St Mirren and Buckie Thistle without conceding already in this tournament, we bet with confidence. Livingston has managed to score just twice past Celtic in their last seven attempts, a run stretching back to the summer of 2021.

Celtic 3-0 @ 11/2

Sticking with our bet on Celtic to win without conceding a goal to Livingston, we now aim for better odds in the correct score market. We’ll require a fair share of luck to get this bet across the line, but the stats suggest we’re in with a shout of landing a nice return.

Celtic beat Livingston 3-0 earlier this season, and that was the final score in two of the last three meetings. The Hoops also netted exactly three goals in four of their previous six games against Livi, and that caught our eye. Back a 3-0 home cheer and hope this renewal follows the trends to gift us a nice winner.
