Team News
Burton look set to start with the likes of Charlie Webster, Fabio Tavares and Jake Beesley in attack if they adopt a front three on Saturday.
Defensive midfielder John Joshua McΚiernan will look to get through plenty of work in the middle of the park for the hosts, where he will likely be supported by team-mates Kgagelo Chauke and Dylan Williams.
As for Mansfield, Will Evans and Dom Dwyer could be given the nod by former Brewers manager Nigel Clough as a front two, while the back three is set to feature Jordan Bowery, Frazer Blake-Tracy and Baily Cargill.
Burton are 6/4 to kick-start their League 1 campaign with a confidence-boosting win in front of their own supporters, while Mansfield are 9/5 to make the 33-mile journey home with the three points.
A draw on Saturday is available at 12/5, while going with over 2.5 total goals in the game is currently 10/11.
Draw and both teams to score @ 3/1
Both these sides endured difficult campaigns last season and after avoiding relegation, they will be hoping for better things to come this term.
Albion finished just above the drop zone in 20th, while the Stags fared slightly better in 17th spot.
There was nothing to choose from between these sides when they met last season, with a 3-3 draw at Field Mill followed by a 1-1 draw at the Pirelli Stadium.
Eleven of Burton's last 13 League 1home games last season ended with both sides scoring and a stalemate with both teams finding the back of the net appeals this weekend.

Will Evans anytime goalscorer @ 2/1
Likely part of a front two named by the experienced manager Clough for Mansfield on Saturday, Will Evans will be eager to make a scoring start to his 2025/26 League 1 campaign.
The Welsh winger scored against Burton last season in the 3-3 draw at Field Mill and the 28-year-old former Newport County striker is good value to find the back of the net in what should be an end-to-end game at Pirelli Stadium.
