Burton Albion vs Reading Prediction: Brewers to boost survival hopes

Relegation-threatened Burton Albion will hope to improve their league position when they welcome Reading to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday night in League 1.
The Brewers have slowly climbed the table in recent weeks thanks to a three-match unbeaten run, while Reading's hopes of achieving promotion have been dented by their drop in form.
They are without a win in four in all competitions and their trip to the Midlands looks like it could be another tough afternoon at the office. Read on for my Burton Albion vs Reading.
Team News
Burton coach Gary Bowyer may name the same starting XI for the third game in a row, with striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson eager to impress against his former club.
The former Iceland striker has scored three goals in two appearances since joining the club earlier this month and he is set to lead the line with Burrell.
Reading's Michael Craig and Jeriel Dorsett returned to the starting XI against Leyton Orient after recent injury absences, while Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan and Andy Yiadom are still short of fitness.
Burton are available at 13/8 to pick up all three points, while Reading are available at the same price due to the teams' contrasting positions in the league table.
The draw is priced at 12/5, while both teams to score can be backed at 8/11.
Reading forward Sam Smith and Burton's Rumarn Burrell are the joint-favourites to score anytime at 2/1.
Burton Albion to win @ 6/4
Burton's recent resurgence will have given their fanbase belief that they can avoid the drop under Bowyer.
The former Blackburn Rovers boss is still looking for extra reinforcements in the January transfer window, but his team's three-match unbeaten run will have given him plenty to think about.
Burton have only lost one of their last six to climb into 21st, and while Reading are 20 points better off than them, the Royals have lost three on the spin in all competitions, conceding at least two goals in the process.
The Yellow and Black Army ended a run of eight games without a win by beating Rotherham United 4-2 on Saturday, and they should be able to strike while the iron is hot, with Reading winning one of their last five away from home in all competitions.

Under 2.5 goals @ 10/11
The Royals' struggles on the road have been down to their inability to find the back of the net.
Noel Hunt's troops have failed to score in three of their last four on the road in all competitions and they will no doubt look to keep things tight after a difficult few weeks.
Burton had no issues finding the net against the Millers, but they had failed to score in five of their last eight matches at home before that 4-2 win.
Bowyer's team have the momentum and look primed to pick up another big three points, but do not expect a goal fest at the Pirelli Stadium.
