The Premier League continues and on Saturday night there is a local derby of sorts at Turf Moor, where newly-promoted Burnley host Manchester United. We’ve previewed the fixture and given our suggested best bets.

Burnley vs Man Utd Tips

  • Man United to win and Both Teams to Score – 21/10
  • Rasmus Hojlund to score first – 4/1

Burnley (10/3) picked up their first Premier League point of the season at the City Ground on Monday night and they will be looking to use that as a launchpad to start picking up some much-needed wins.

Vincent Kompany’s side obliterated the Championship last season and many observers (including myself) expected them to take quickly to the top-tier.

However, three straight heavy defeats soon put pay to such notions of grandeur and Clarets fans will know they are in for a long, tough scrap to stay in the division.

For Manchester United (7/10), its been a similarly torrid start to the season, losing four of their opening six games, although they may take some crumbs of comfort from their 4-3 defeat in Munich.

At 3-1 down, the Red Devils could have easily collapsed to a big deficit, but late goals from Casemiro made the final score respectable.

Nevertheless, Erik Ten Hag is under pressure and is dealing with big issues both on and off the pitch. Three points at a boisterous Turf Moor would be a great start to settling any further ruminations about replacing him any time soon.

Team news:

Kompany is without the injured trio of Michael Obafemi, Darko Churlinov and Hjalmar Ekdal and will also be missing Lyle Foster after his sending off on Monday night means he will be suspended for three games.

Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka remain on the sidelines for Ten Hag, but the Dutchman could be boosted by the return of Mason Mount and Raphael Varane. New signing Sofyan Amrabat could also be fit to feature in the matchday squad for the first time.

Man United to win and Both Teams to Score – 21/10

Both teams to score is as short as 8/13 here and you can definitely see why.

The Clarets have conceded 12 goals in four games thus far, with United keeping just one clean sheet on the opening day.

As far as the match result goes, I have severe reservations about putting my trust in backing Ten Hag’s men but surely they will have too much for Burnley on Saturday night?

Rasmus Hojlund to score the first goal – 4/1

One real bright spark for United has been the impact that new signing Rasmus Hojlund has made since joining the much-maligned club.

The 20-year-old netted his first goal for the club against Bayern Munich on Wednesday and looks a real handful at the top of the park.

Betfred are running their famed Double Delight / Hat-Trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if the Dane scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds (8/1). If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid out at a whopping 12/1!
