Team News
Werder Bremen defenders Maximilian Wober (muscle) and Niklas Stark (unspecified) are set to miss out again on Friday.
Mitchell Weiser, Victor Boniface (both knee) and Felix Agu (ankle) are also injured for the hosts, who suffered a 3-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
Eintracht Frankfurt were also beaten in midweek, losing 3-2 at VfB Stuttgart, and Michy Batshuayi (foot) and Jonathan Burkardt (calf), who both missed Tuesday's trip to MHPArena, look likely to sit Friday's fixture out, too.
Dino Toppmoller will be hoping that Hugo Larsson, who was also absent earlier in the week, can return after a bout of illness, as well as six-goal Can Yilmaz Uzun, who sat out Tuesday's game with a foot injury.

Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt Odds
Werder Bremen and Eintracht Frankfurt can't be separated in the Match Result market, with both sides 8/5, or a 38.5% chance, to win, while the draw can be backed at 5/2.

Werder Bremen vs Eintracht Frankfurt Stats
- SGE won August's reverse fixture 4-1
- SVW are winless in their last six games (D2, L4)
- SGE have scored 2+ goals in half of their 17 league games
- SVW have conceded 2+ goals in nine of their 16 league matches
Match Result - Eintracht Frankfurt @ 8/5
Neither side is in good form heading into Friday's fixture, but Werder's recent results have been particularly brutal as they are without a win in their last six games (D2, L4) and have failed to score in four of those.
Eintracht are winless in their last three (D2, L1), but beat Augsburg 1-0 on December 13 to record six points from their last six games, triple the amount Werder have picked up in that time.
Friday's visitors to MHPArena are nine points better off than their hosts after 17 rounds of fixtures, and pushed a good Stuttgart side all the way in midweek, with Die Roten Bullen having to conjure up an 87th-minute winner to down Die Adler.
Eintracht won the reverse fixture 4-1 at Deutsche Bank Park in August, and I fancy them to do the double over Werder.

Away Team Total Goals - Over 1.5 @ 1/1
Only four clubs have shipped more Bundesliga goals this season than Werder (31), who are averaging 1.94 goals conceded per game.
Horst Steffen's side have conceded 2+ goals in nine of their 16 league matches, including three away to Dortmund on Tuesday.
Eintracht, whose 35-goal tally in the 2025/26 Bundesliga is bettered only by runaway leaders Bayern Munich (66), have scored 2+ goals in nine of their 17 games, including their last two, a 3-3 home draw with Dortmund last Friday, followed by that 3-2 defeat in midweek to Stuttgart.
After hitting Werder for four in August, two goals on Friday are well within their grasp, particularly with Nottingham Forest loanee Arnaud Kalimuendo starting to settle in the side.
