Team News
Timo Hubers and Luca Kilian (both knee) are both long-term absentees for Koln due to injury.
With limited defensive options, boss Lukas Kwasniok should name a three-man defence of Sebastian Sebulonsen, Eric Martel and Rav van den Berg.
Teenage winger Said El Mala has provided seven Bundesliga goals this season for the Billy Goats and he should feature in attack alongside Ragnar Ache and Marius Bulter.
Wolfsburg are without the services of Bence Dardai (cruciate ligament), Joakim Maehle (shoulder) and Jonas Wind (hamstring) due to injury. Jenson Seelt (knee), Konstantinos Koulierakis (muscle) and Cleiton (ankle) are also doubts to feature for the visitors.
Striker Dzenan Pejcinovic is expected to lead the line and he may be aided by Patrick Wimmer, Christian Eriksen and Mohamed El Amine Amoura.
Koln vs Wolfsburg Predicted Lineups
- Koln: Schwabe; Sebulonsen, Martel, Van den Berg; Maina, Kaminski, Krauss, Castro-Montes; Bulter, Ache, El Mala
- Wolfsburg: Grabara; Kumbedi, Vavro, Jenz, Zehnter; Arnold, Gerhardt; Wimmer, Eriksen, Amoura; Pejcinovic
Koln won their last home game in the league against Mainz and the hosts are 23/20 to come out on top here.
The two teams played out a thrilling 3-3 draw in the reverse fixture back in September and the stalemate is priced at 13/5 (implied probability of 27.8%).
Wolfsburg are 21/10 to come away with the three points but they have won just one of their previous five away trips in the Bundesliga.
Both teams scored in both halves when they met earlier in the campaign and this market is on offer at 8/1.
Koln vs Wolfsburg Stats
- 3 of Koln's last 7 home league games have been draws
- The reverse fixture in September ended 3-3
- 5 of Wolfsburg's past 6 league matches have produced over 3.5 goals
Match Result - Draw @ 13/5
Both these teams have picked up four points from the last 15 available, so neither side is in excellent form. They do both possess players who can make a difference in the final third but recent form makes it hard to look past a draw on Friday.
We do have the reverse fixture to look back on as they played out a gripping 3-3 draw in Wolfsburg in September. Between them, the two clubs have played out nine stalemates in the Bundesliga this season.
Koln should sense an opportunity to win as the visitors have struggled to deliver on their travels this term, but the Billy Goats' home form hasn't been great of late, with two defeats from their past three appearances here in the top flight.
I think the draw is too good a price to ignore at 13/5, so I am backing the stalemate in Cologne.

Total Goals - Over 3.5 @ 6/4
Given there were six goals when the two teams last met, I think we could be treated to several goals on Friday night. Over 3.5 goals appeals because there have been at least four goals scored in five of Wolfsburg's last six outings in the league, this includes each of their latest three away trips.
This has also been a successful bet in four of Koln's nine home games in the top flight in 2025/26.
Both sides have not been brilliant defensively this season, with the hosts conceding 32 goals to Wolfsburg's 41. With this in mind, I think there will be plenty of goals on offer at the RheineEnergieStadion.
