Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig Prediction: Frankfurt fancied to stun visitors

Saturday’s standout clash in the Bundesliga features two European hopefuls as seventh-placed Eintracht Frankfurt host RB Leipzig, who have moved up to fourth after a run of five wins in six games.
Having routed them 6-0 in December, Leipzig will have fond memories of facing Frankfurt. However, new Eintracht boss Albert Riera is getting a tune out of a talented squad and they will be eyeing revenge at Deutsche Bank Park this weekend.

Team News
Frankfurt will be without Nnamdi Collins, Kaua Santos and Michy Batshuayi, while key wingers Jean-Matteo Bahoya and Ritsu Doan are doubts alongside Rasmus Kristensen, but there is at least one piece of positive news as Can Yilmaz Uzun is available.
Ezechiel Banzuzi’s injury and Xaver Schlager’s suspension means Leipzig are a touch light in midfield.
RB boss Ole Werner will also be without Viggo Gebel, Sani Suleiman, Leopold Zingerle and Kosta Nedeljkovic, while Castello Lukeba and Conrad Harder must be assessed.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig Predicted Lineups
- Eintracht Frankfurt: Zetterer; Amenda, Koch, Theate; Amaimouni-Echghouyab, Chaibi, Larsson, Hojlund, Brown; Kalimuendo, Burkardt
- RB Leipzig: Vandevoordt; Baku, Orban, Bitshiabu, Raum; Gruda, Seiwald; Diomande, Baumgartner, Nusa; Romulo
Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig Odds
Leipzig are even-money favourites, although 11/5 looks a generous price for Frankfurt, as does 3/1 for the draw.
These are two attack-minded sides, so it is no surprise to see both teams to score is as short as 2/5. An exciting game could play out so the 11/10 for over 3.5 goals may be a better punting play.
Frankfurt forward Jonathan Burkardt is 11/2 to open the scoring, the same price as Leipzig's Romulo Cardoso.
Eintracht Frankfurt vs RB Leipzig Stats
- Frankfurt beat Leipzig 4-0 in their last home meeting in April 2025
- Frankfurt have shipped 54 goals this season - highest amount in Bundesliga's top eight
- Leipzig won the reverse fixture 6-0 in December
Eintracht Frankfurt draw no bet @ 11/8
Premier League fans could be forgiven for not realising bit-part Liverpool and Manchester City player Riera had become a manager, but he has - and he’s a decent one at that.
Frankfurt have lost just two of their nine games under the Spaniard and are unbeaten at home since he took over from Dino Toppmoller, so it is a surprise to see they are such a big price to see off Leipzig on Saturday.
RB are 14 points better off, in fairness. However, four of the five wins in their impressive recent run have come against bottom-half sides and they are set for a sterner test at Eintracht.
Leipzig are yet to beat a top-eight team on the road this term and given they have lost three of those four such matches, there is reason to get behind Frankfurt.

Arnaud Kalimuendo anytime goalscorer @ 15/8
Frankfurt’s chances are also boosted by the return of Turkish playmaker Can Yilmaz Uzun and his ability to create goalscoring opportunities should greatly benefit their forwards.
Top scorer Jonathan Burkardt is the likeliest beneficiary, although he is in a dry spell by his standards and the bigger-priced Arnaud Kalimuendo could be the better pick for an anytime-goalscorer bet.
The French forward flopped at Nottingham Forest but has impressed since joining Eintracht on loan, scoring six goals in 14 Bundesliga appearances, and his output has only increased since Riera’s arrival.
Kalimuendo is averaging a goal every 164 minutes under Riera and is a decent price to score for the third game in a row.
