Team News

Aaron Anselmino is Dortmund's only injury concern heading into this contest, with the defender sidelined with a muscle problem.

Jobe Bellingham is back available following a two-game suspension but he may have to settle for a place on the bench as boss Niko Kovac may opt to deploy Felix Nmecha and Marcel Sabitzer in the middle of the park.

Julian Brandt, Karim Adeyemi and Serhou Guirassy are expected to make up the forward line once again.

Football Odds

Werder Bremen forward Victor Boniface, on loan from Bayer Leverkusen, is set for a spell out of action following knee surgery. New arrival Jovan Milosevic, loaned in from VfB Stuttgart, is in line to make his debut up top.

Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen Predicted Lineups

Today's Football Fixtures

Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen Odds

Dortmund have won five of their seven home matches in the league and they are 4/11 to come out on top. All five of those wins came with a clean sheet and they are 6/4 (implied probability of 40%) to win to nil.

The hosts have drawn two of their past three fixtures in the Bundesliga and the stalemate is on offer at 4/1.

Werder Bremen have won just one of their eight away fixtures in the top flight and they are 13/2 to collect the three points.

Borussia Dortmund vs Werder Bremen Stats

  • Dortmund's five home league wins have been aided by clean sheets
  • Max Beier (DOR) has scored in the last two matches

To Win To Nil - Borussia Dortmund @ 6/4

With Dortmund keeping clean sheets in all five of their league triumphs on home soil this term, it seems like it would be foolish to go against this trend on Tuesday. They are hosting a team with one of the worst away records in the division in Werder Bremen and the Black and Yellows will be looking to capitalise on this.

Kovac's men have given themselves a four-point cushion in second but they still find themselves 11 points adrift of league leaders Bayern Munich, so these are the games in which they cannot afford to drop points in.

After conceding three goals against Eintracht Frankfurt last time out, Kovac may emphasise the desire for a clean sheet against Bremen. The visitors are not the worst side for scoring goals on the road but chances may be hard to come by as Dortmund have conceded just four goals in seven matches at Signal Iduna Park this campaign.

I think 6/4 offers great value for the Black and Yellows to put another win and clean sheet combination together.

Anytime Goalscorer - Max Beier @ 13/10

As far as goalscorers are concerned, Guirassy is of course the standout pick for Dortmund because he is the front man and because of his record. However, at 4/6 to score anytime, I have opted to find better value elsewhere.

His fellow attackers Adeyemi and Brandt are also appealing selections but I am going for a player who is on a two-game scoring streak at the moment - Max Beier. The 23-year-old has struck in successive matches against Borussia Monchengladbach and Frankfurt and he now has five Bundesliga goals for the season across 14 appearances.

Beier is now Dortmund's joint-top scorer in the league with Guirassy, and the confidence he should have right now makes him a very attractive selection to get on the scoresheet for a third-straight game on Tuesday.
