Bundesliga Winner Odds 25/26 Season: Who could it possibly be?

The 2025/26 Bundesliga season gets underway this weekend and defending champions Bayern Munich will be looking to start a new era of dominance in Germany now that they have returned to their perch.
Below I take a look at their chances, as well as their closest contenders, for the title this time around using Betfred's Bundesliga Winner Odds.
Bayern Munich @ 1/3
Bayern's squad depth is strong and it is very tough to compete with if you are one of the chasing pack in the Bundesliga. Vincent Kompany is blessed with talent all over the pitch and after leading Die Roten to the league title in his first year, he will be expected to retain it this term.
His side romped their way to the title in 2024/25, finishing 12 points clear of Bayer Leverkusen, who were the holders last time out, in second. Offensively, they were on point as they registered 99 goals in 34 matches, averaging 2.9 per game. They were probably a little disappointed they didn't reach a century, but that's something to strive for this time around.
Luis Diaz has joined their ranks from Liverpool to replace the departed Leroy Sane, and he joins an already impressive attacking lineup that is spearheaded by the prolific Harry Kane, while there is flair and creativity from the likes of Michael Olise and Serge Gnabry. Both Kane and Diaz were on the scoresheet in Bayern's Super Cup victory over VfB Stuttgart on Saturday.
The reigning champions lost just twice in the league last year and conceded just 32 goals. They are unquestionably the best team in Germany and the Leverkusen triumph two seasons ago looks more and more like it was just an anomaly. Bayern are once again going to be very tough to stop. Do we stop the count before it's even begun?

Bayer Leverkusen @ 6/1
Erik ten Hag will look to rebuild his reputation as one of the best coaches in Europe at Bayer Leverkusen, having succeeded Xabi Alonso who has gone to Real Madrid. Ten Hag has huge shoes to fill because Alonso steered the club to the Bundesliga title two seasons ago, while also taking them to a Uefa Europa League final.
Ten Hag's stock has taken a hit after his spell at Manchester United but he still led the club to two domestic titles in the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, so he may yet surprise some people over in Germany.
As I mentioned above, it's going to be hard to compete with Bayern's resources but this club rocked the boat in the Bundesliga two seasons ago - maybe they can do it again. They were comfortably the second-best team in the division last term and it looks highly likely that they will be at least second this time around.
Forward Patrik Schick bagged 21 goals in the top flight in 2024/25 and there may be more reliance on him this campaign following the departure of influential figure Florian Wirtz in a Premier League record transfer.
Die Werkself have been busy in the transfer market this summer, making some exciting additions in the likes of Malik Tillman (PSV Eindhoven) and Ernest Poku (AZ Alkmaar).

Borussia Dortmund @ 8/1
After their performances last year, Borussia Dortmund can count themselves very lucky that they have Uefa Champions League football to look forward to this season. Nuri Sahin was replaced by Niko Kovac midway through the campaign as results and performances weren't matching the club's ambitions.
The Black and Yellows will be hoping that a pre-season can help Kovac get more of a structure from the team and get the players in a stronger position to put themselves firmly in this year's title race.
I'm skeptical because of how their 2024/25 unfolded, but they have added some exciting young talent to their ranks in Jobe Bellingham and Yan Couto, who have joined from Sunderland and Manchester City respectively. Dortmund can certainly improve on last season's finish but I don't think they will be able to lay a glove on Bayern.
