Both teams to score – Gremio FBPA vs Athletico Paranaense

Third-placed Gremio can leapfrog Bragantino into second with a win on Wednesday night but a three-point haul is unlikely to come easy given their defensive displays of late.

The hosts have conceded eight goals in their last four Brazilian Serie A assignments and have seen both teams score in three of those. They face an Athletico Paranaense side who have failed to score only once in their last 12 league games, although like their hosts they have struggled at the back of late and have conceded in six of their last seven outings.

Both teams to score – Vasco da Gama vs Fortaleza EC

Vasco da Gama have hit a purple patch lately after a dreadful start to the season but they will be up against it when they face an in-form Fortaleza outfit who have scored in seven of their last eight league games.

The hosts have seen both teams get on the scoresheet in four of their last six league outings and have netted 12 times in that sequence, nine of which have come in their three home assignments.

Fortaleza are unbeaten in four Serie A fixtures but have conceded in each of their last six. With 11 goals scored in that period they should trouble the Vasco defence, but don’t expect them to keep it tight at the other end.

Both teams to score – Coritiba vs Cuiaba EC

Coritiba snapped an eight-game losing streak at the start of October to claim successive Serie A wins but they remain fragile at the back. They have kept just one clean sheet in their last ten games but have scored in nine of those fixtures, so they should have little issue getting past a Cuiaba defence who are without a clean sheet away from home since July.

The visitors have scored five goals in their last four league games, though, and both teams to score has landed in four of the last five meetings between these clubs, including the reverse fixture at Arena Pantanal in May.

Both teams to score – Esporte Clube Bahia vs SC Internacional

Bahia’s last outing was a 10-goal thriller at Goias and more goals could be on the cards when they face Internacional at Arena Fonte Nova in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The hosts have seen 22 goals scored across their last five league fixtures and there have been goals at both ends in four of those games, including both home assignments in that period.

Internacional head to Bahia after a 3-2 win over Gremio last time out and have seen both teams to score land in five of their last six league games.
