Sunday brings another batch of intense international fixtures, as Euro 2024 qualifying reaches boiling point. Below we’ve been on the hunt for a winner, with a BTTS treble.

Finland vs Denmark – BTTS Yes

The top two meet in Group H as Finland host Denmark. Both of these sides have scored 11 goals in their five group matches so far, and both have proved themselves to be more than capable at creating goalscoring chances. 

The reverse fixture ended 3-1 and Finland have scored in every group match they have played so far, including hitting six against San Marino last time out. But no other side boats the same attacking quality that Denmark do. Manchester United’s new striker Rasmus Hojlund scored a hat-trick the last time these two met, and he could well find the net again here. 

This could be a Nordic cracker.

Kazakhstan vs Northern Ireland – BTTS No

Sometimes, we can find value in backing teams not to score, as you will see in our next two picks. Kazakhstan’s last two qualifiers have ended 1-0, and there were only three shots on target in total in their last match against Northern Ireland. 

Before their 4-2 defeat against Slovenia, which appears to be an anomaly, Northern Ireland’s results read 2-0, 0-1, 1-0, 0-1. That 2-0 win came against San Marino which despite leading to all three points, is a horrendous result against one of the worst sides on the planet. There simply isn’t enough quality on show here to justify both teams scoring. 

Albania vs Poland – BTTS No 

Poland only managed to score twice against Faroe Islands while Albania only had one shot in 90 minutes in their last match. Neither of these sides attack with any real positivity or intent, and as a result, we aren’t expecting fireworks.

To give you some context of how much value BTTS No provides, under 2.5 goals is currently priced at 1/8  and under 1.5 goals (ultimately the same market as BTTS No) is 8/15. BTTS no at 4/5 for this turgid match-up is excellent value.
