We have a feast of footballing action to look forward to this weekend, with a lot of focus on Manchester United versus Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday in the Premier League.

Saturday has plenty of interesting games, though, and I have hand-picked four games from the top flight and the Championship to put together a four-fold, which has been kindly boosted to 9/1 by the traders. Check out my BTTS Tips for Saturday, April 5 below.

BTTS Tips - Saturday, April 5

  • BTTS Yes in Ipswich Town vs Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 4/5
  • BTTS Yes in Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest @ 4/6

BTTS Yes in Crystal Palace vs Brighton & Hove Albion @ 8/13

This accumulator kicks off in south London as Crystal Palace welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Selhurst Park for the second M23 derby of the season.

The two teams met in Sussex for the reverse fixture back in December, which Palace won 3-1, with Ismaila Sarr stealing the show with a brace. Both teams to score was a winning selection that day thanks to an own goal from Eagles defender Marc Guehi late on.

BTTS has struck in eight of the past nine league meetings between the two teams, so I think we will see this trend continue on Saturday, especially because its a rivalry.

In terms of this season, both teams have scored in nine of Crystal Palace's 15 home games in the top flight to date, while there have been goals at both ends in 10 of the Seagulls' 15 away trips.

BTTS Yes in Ipswich Town vs Wolverhampton Wanderers @ 4/5

Next up is an interesting battle towards the bottom of the table. Ipswich Town picked up a huge three points at AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday and they will look to build on that when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Portman Road.

Wolves are nine points ahead of the Tractor Boys in 17th and are currently the hosts' obstacle between survival and relegation from the Premier League. This game has the potential to pull the visitors 12 points clear of the drop zone with seven games left to play, or Ipswich could reduce the deficit to six points.

This game feels like it is set up to deliver goals and I think BTTS is worth backing here as it has been a successful bet in each of Ipswich's previous three home matches in the league.

Additionally, three of Wolves' previous away fixtures in the PL ended up with both sides getting on the scoresheet, while BTTS struck in the reverse fixture at Molineux back in December, which Ipswich won 2-1.

Forwards on each side have a taste for goals currently as Liam Delap has bagged 11 goals in the league for the hosts and Jorgen Strand Larsen has 10 for Wolves. Both can play their part in this market landing in East Anglia.

BTTS Yes in Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest @ 4/6

The feature game in the Premier League on Saturday comes at Villa Park, where former European Cup winners Aston Villa square up against Nottingham Forest, with both battling to qualify for next season's Champions League.

The Tricky Trees are third in the standings and they are very much in control of their own destiny, while Villa need to worry about teams above them despite their form picking up in recent weeks.

Signings Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford are making a huge impact for the Villans, and they are two of the most in-form players in the division right now. Forest have an impressive front four featuring Chris Wood and Anthony Elanga, with the former having netted 18 goals in the PL.

With both teams in good form coming into this, I think we could be thoroughly entertained with goals, especially as Forest's past three away games in the league have ended with both teams scoring, as well as the reverse fixture back in December ending in a 2-1 victory for the Tricky Trees.

BTTS No in Oxford United vs Sheffield United @ 4/5

We draw this acca to a close down in the Championship as Oxford United, who are fighting to stay in the division, host league leaders Sheffield United.

Unlike the previous picks in this boost, I am going for BTTS No here, simply because the Blades have had a habit of winning games to nil this campaign.

Chris Wilder's side have won 19 of their 39 league games whilst keeping a clean sheet in 2024/25, which amounts to a whopping 49%. Eight of those victories have come on their travels, including three of their last four appearances on the road.

The Blades posted a 3-0 victory at Bramall Lane when they faced Oxford back in November, and I think we will see a similar scenario unfold on Saturday.
