BTTS Tips: 12/1 fourfold from Saturday’s action

There is a wide range of football coming our way this Saturday to help fill the void until the new season starts in the Premier League and English Football League.
With plenty of games to choose from, I have hand-picked five matches for our both teams to score column that is valued at an enticing 12/1. Below you will find my BTTS tips for Saturday, July 20.
BTTS Tips - Saturday, July 20
- BTTS Yes in Ross County vs Raith Rovers
- BTTS No in Edinburgh City vs Partick Thistle
- BTTS No in Lugano vs Grasshoppers
- BTTS Yes in Winterthur vs St. Gallen
- BTTS Yes in HJK Helsinki vs Haka
BTTS acca pays at 12.93/1
BTTS Yes in Ross County vs Raith Rovers
To kick us off is the action taking place in the Scottish League Cup group stage. This clash comes from Group H as Ross County entertain Raith Rovers. The visitors are currently top of the group with two wins already. They have scored five goals and conceded just once.
Ross County are second with one win, but they have a game in hand on their Scottish Championship opponents. They had a miserable Scottish Premiership campaign in which they had to defeat the visitors in the promotion/relegation play-off to maintain their top-flight status. Over the course of the season they shipped 67 goals.
Raith Rovers will be out for revenge in this clash and so I think we could be in for a frantic game of football in which I am expecting goals at both ends.
BTTS No in Edinburgh City vs Partick Thistle
In Group G, Edinburgh City, who are in the fourth tier, host Partick Thistle of the Scottish Championship. The hosts have played two of their Scottish League Cup matches so far, losing on both occasions, and they have failed to score a single goal while conceding eight in the process.
Thistle have won their only outing and will be feeling confident that they can do so again on this occasion, against a side who are toothless in attack and vulnerable at the back. I fancy them to win this game to nil.
BTTS No in Lugano vs Grasshoppers
Over in the Swiss Super League, last season's runners-up Lugano get their 2024/25 campaign underway at home as they welcome Grasshoppers, who like Ross County, had to go through a play-off to keep their place in the top division.
Lugano are being perceived as title contenders this year and seeing as though they have improved year on year since the arrival of manager Mattia Croci-Torti in 2021, it is understandable. I fancy them to lay down a marker and fire a warning in this opening fixture and beat Grasshoppers to nil, which was the case in six of their 19 matches on home soil last season.
BTTS Yes in Winterthur vs St. Gallen
Sticking with Super League, a contest in which I am expecting both teams to score is Winterthur's clash with St. Gallen. This fixture's recent history has a good record of producing goals with BTTS landing in their last five meetings.
The home side were a punter's dream for BTTS last year with a whopping 79% (30/38) of their matches seeing goals at both ends. I think that trend should continue here as the new season gets up and running. Both teams showed they had plenty of firepower in the previous campaign as they each racked up 60 goals, so we could be treated to a few in Winterthur on Saturday.
BTTS Yes in HJK Helsinki vs Haka
Moving on to Finland, HJK Helsinki go head-to-head with Haka in the Veikkausliiga, with one point separating the hosts in second from the visitors in fourth. Haka do have a game in hand on them, however, so they will be eager to make the most of this meeting.
They have very similar records this term with both having posted eight wins already. They have both scored 26 goals but Helsinki have conceded three less than their opponents. When the two sides met back in April, BTTS delivered in a 1-1 draw, so I am confident we will see both teams get on the scoresheet on this occasion.
