Brighton & Hove Albion will look to get back to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Amex Stadium on Saturday (15:00 BST). The Seagulls were beaten at AFC Bournemouth last time out, but their last home game saw them defeat Manchester City.

Spurs have won three of their opening four matches in the top flight but are coming into their third game in the space of a week. Read on for my Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur predictions, accompanied by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News

Brighton duo Jack Hinshelwood (ankle) and Maxim De Cuyper (knee) were both forced off with injuries in the first half at Bournemouth last week. While Hinshelwood has joined Adam Webster and Solly March (both knee) on the sidelines, De Cuyper is a doubt for Tottenham alongside Mats Wieffer (knee) and Diego Gomez (illness).

Ferdi Kadioglu will be expected to earn a start in the back four next to Lewis Dunk, Jan Paul van Hecke and Joel Veltman, if De Cuyper misses out, while either Carlos Baleba or Yasin Ayari will step in for Hinshelwood.

Danny Welbeck should lead the line for the hosts, aided by Kaouru Mitoma, Georginio Rutter and Yankuba Minteh.

Premier League Odds

Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is “taking steps in the right direction” in his recovery from an ankle injury, but he will not be involved in Saturday's clash in Sussex.

Yves Bissouma (knock), Kota Takai (foot), James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Radu Dragusin (all knee) are all confined to the treatment room for the visitors.

Joao Palhinha will be hoping to earn a recall in midfield, perhaps at the expense of Rodrigo Bentancur, while Destiny Udogie could come in at left-back for Djed Spence.

Richarlison should lead the line but will face competition from Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani.

Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Line-ups

  • Brighton (4-2-3-1) - Verbruggen; Veltman, Van Hecke, Dunk, Kadioglu; Baleba, Ayari; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Welbeck
  • Tottenham Hotspur (4-3-3) - Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Richarlison, Simons

Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Brighton won both league meetings last season, and they have already bested Manchester City on home turf this campaign. They are 5/4 (implied probability of 44.4%) to prevail here.

Spurs have won three of their four league matches to date in 2025/26 and they are 21/10 to come away with the three points.

Brighton were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Fulham earlier in the season and the stalemate is priced at 13/5.

Four of the Seagulls' last six matches have featured over 2.5 goals, which is available at 8/13 for Saturday.

Brighton vs Tottenham Hotspur Stats

  • Over 3.5 goals has struck in three of the past four meetings
  • Brighton won both PL meetings last season

Draw @ 13/5

This feels like a tough match to call because both teams have had decent starts to the season, particularly Spurs who have won three of their opening four games in the Premier League.

Brighton may have won just once so far, but they have performed well when playing at home, having taken down Man City at the Amex. They hold a psychological advantage over Tottenham heading into the weekend, as they have won three of the past four meetings with their opponents, including the last two on home soil.

Spurs are likely to be a bigger threat now, though, under Thomas Frank given the way they have started the new campaign. There is a lot to like about both squads given the quality they both possess, so I think they may end up cancelling each other out in Brighton.

I'm backing Brighton to land their second home draw of the season.

Over 3.5 goals @ 13/8

One thing this fixture has delivered in recent years is entertainment, mainly in the form of goals. There have been some absolute goal-fests between these two sides in recent seasons - with 19 scored across the previous four meetings.

Of those four, over 3.5 goals has been a successful bet in three of them, and I think this trend can continue in Saturday's contest. Brighton may have only scored four goals in the top flight so far, but I think this match can help them improve their attacking output.

Tottenham have not been having such issues so far with eight goals already recorded in the Premier League.
