Both sides began their respective campaigns with a win, after the Red Devils opened the new season last Friday night against Fulham, while the Seagulls stunned Everton at Goodison Park a day later.

Team News

Solly March is a long-term absentee for the hosts, with Pervis Estupinan, Bart Verbruggen, Evan Ferguson, Tariq Lamptey and Julio Enciso all on the treatment table heading into Saturday's clash.

Erik ten Hag reported no fresh injury concerns ahead of this weekend, with Luke Shaw continuing his recovery from an injury sustained in pre-season, while Rasmus Hojlund, Leny Yoro and Tyrell Malacia remain sidelined.

Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui made their debuts against Fulham, along with fellow summer arrival Joshua Zirkzee who scored the winner, and all three could be involved from the first whistle on Saturday.

Brighton vs Man United Odds

The home win can be backed at 7/5 - or a theoretical chance of 41.7% - while the United win is available at 8/5 and the draw is 5/2.

United won this fixture 2-0 last season, and a repeat of that scoreline is available at 14/1.

Brighton to win @ 7/5

Saturday's trip to the Amex represents a tough test for Ten Hag's side, as Brighton have won four of the last five league games between the two teams.

Manchester United have a habit of starting games slowly under Ten Hag and that character trait was on show again against Fulham last week when the Cottagers lodged the first three shots of the game at Old Trafford.

Despite the narrow win, the Red Devils created a total of 2.72xG, with Bruno Fernandes squandering a couple of big chances, and Alejandro Garnacho missing an open net so there were positives to take from the game.

However, only Sheffield United conceded more shots than United last season and that leakiness at the back - they shipped 58 goals in 38 games - didn't look to have been completely rectified against Fulham.

Brighton’s pace and power on the counter could expose any weaknesses in the United backline, with the likes of Yankuba Minteh and Kaoru Mitoma running in behind.

The Seagulls have got the better of Ten Hag plenty of times, and I think they can continue that run on Saturday.

Brighton & Hove Albion V Manchester United - Match Result Brighton & Hove Albion

Odds correct at time of publishing.

Both teams to score @ 4/9

Brighton’s attack looked potent in their 3-0 win over Everton, while Manchester United possess the firepower to trouble any defense, as proven by their xG against Fulham.

Two of Brighton's last three victories have seen both teams find the net, while the Red Devils still look to be shaking off the rust from pre-season. I'm backing both sides to get on the scoresheet here.
