Brighton host Chelsea on Wednesday night (19:45) with their sights set on a top half finish in the Premier League for a third-consecutive season. After qualifying for the Europa League last term, this season has seen a slight drop off in form, but Roberto De Zerbi has had to contend with a whole host of injury issues this term.

They are facing off against another side that has been through the ringer in terms of absentees this season, as Chelsea come to town. Reece James has now returned for Mauricio Pochettino’s men, but he is still without Ben Chilwell, Wesley Fofana and Carney Chukwuemeka, among others.

Below you can find my Brighton vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips as Chelsea look to secure a sixth spot in the Premier League.

Brighton vs Chelsea Bet Builder Tips

  • BTTS No
  • Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson to score
  • Billy Gilmour to be booked

BTTS No

I think Chelsea will win this game to nil, which makes our first pick BTTS No. Brighton have been struggling for goals of late, having only scored three goals in their past seven outings. Their attacking absentees are clearly impacting their goalscoring ability, with Evan Ferguson and Joao Pedro still sidelined, so I think Chelsea will be able to keep them at bay.

I also think the away side have turned a corner and should be able to win this game. They’ve now won three on the bounce and with players such as James returning from injury, are only going to get stronger in these final two matches. They can put on another impressive display on the south coast.

Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson to score

I’m happy to back two in-form players to find the net in this one, up against a Brighton team who can’t quite get things going at the moment. Not a lot more needs to be said about the sensational Cole Palmer, who is just four goals behind Golden Boot leader Erling Haaland with two games to play.

If he bags a couple here, he could still be in contention for the top goalscorer award come the final day on Sunday. It is one of the most impressive breakthrough seasons we have ever seen in the Premier League, and he is now a superstar, sure to play some role in England’s quest for Euro 2024 glory this summer.

He can add to his tally of 21 at the Amex, against a Brighton team who have only kept one clean sheet in their last six, and conceded three in the reverse fixture. I’m also backing Jackson to find the net. He’s now scored 14 goals in his debut year in England which isn’t a bad haul for a young striker in an underperforming team. Over the past three gameweeks though he has seriously impressed. He’s scored four in his last three and seven in his last 11 games as he finishes the season strongly.

Billy Gilmour to be booked

Billy Gilmour is back in the Brighton team and he is providing some bite in midfield. I think the former Chelsea man will want to prove a point against his former club and he has now picked up seven yellow cards this season. Interestingly, since his return from injury he has been given two bookings in the last three matches, and I think he might just have to make a tactical foul or two against this pacy Chelsea attack.
