Team news

Brighton’s only major absentee for this game is midfielder Julio Enciso, who is going to be out for a few months with a knee injury.

As for Bournemouth, they have a few players out of contention for this south coast clash. Emiliano Marcondes, Ryan Fredericks, Alex Scott and Tyler Adams are all sidelined.

Brighton and Both Teams To Score – Yes @ 11/8

Roberto De Zerbi will be disappointed with how his side were beaten in the Europa League on Thursday, particularly with their defending from set-pieces.

The Italian will demand a response from his players against the Cherries on Sunday and he will be boosted by the return of two important players. Lewis Dunk and Evan Ferguson both missed out of the squad on Thursday night, but De Zerbi told reporters that they would feature on Sunday.

This will give the Seagulls a lift ahead of their return to league action, but Bournemouth are not to be underestimated. The Cherries are still in transition under Andoni Iraola and they picked up an impressive point against Chelsea last time out.

Bournemouth boast some exciting players who are capable of creating chances when presented with areas to exploit, something Brighton will have to be wary of after their defensive performance against AEK Athens.

However, Brighton have lost just once in the Premier League this term, winning all four of their other fixtures. It is going to be a tough test for Bournemouth to try and inflict a second defeat on the Seagulls, but they do possess enough quality to make it a tough afternoon for De Zerbi’s team.

Solly March to score anytime @ 15/8

Brighton winger Solly March enjoyed an excellent Premier League campaign in 2022-23. The 29-year-old provided seven goals and seven assists to help the Seagulls get into Europe for the first time in their history.

That fine form has continued into this term, with March having three goals to his name in the top flight already. Only Ferguson (four) has scored more than him for Brighton in the league so far.

March is enjoying the best form of his career and he is one of De Zerbi’s biggest attacking threats. Both he and Kaoru Mitoma are two of the most difficult wingers to play against right now, something which is a testament to the wonders De Zerbi has been working on the south coast.

March hasn’t been on the scoresheet since his brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers over a month ago. It feels as though he has waited long enough to get on the scoresheet again. A home clash against Bournemouth provides him with the perfect opportunity to add to his tally.
