Arsenal’s quest for the Premier League title continues on the south coast as they travel to Brighton on Saturday afternoon (17:30, Sky Sports Main Event). The Gunners comfortably beat Luton Town 2-0 in midweek to keep up with Man City and Liverpool, while Brighton couldn’t find the net at Brentford as they shared the spoils.

Below you can find my Brighton vs Arsenal prediction, with team news, match odds and a couple of betting selections for you to consider.

Brighton vs Arsenal Tips

  • Arsenal to win to nil @ 21/10
  • Kai Havertz to score first and 3-0 Arsenal @ 66/1

Team News

Brighton are without Kaoru Mitoma although the wide man is getting closer to a return, while Solly March and Billy Gilmour also remain out. Evan Ferguson is also absent, with Roberto De Zerbi arguably without his three most important attacking players.

Arsenal are now firing on all cylinders, and will be boosted by the news that Jurrien Timber could return before the end of the season. The defender suffered an ACL injury at the start of the campaign but has made good progress in his recovery. Bukayo Saka should recover from the issue he picked up in time, while Gabriel Martinelli is fit to start, as the Brazilian made two substitute appearances already this week.

Match Odds

Brighton are priced at 4/1 to win this match, with Arsenal available at 3/5. That gives the Gunners an implied win probability of 62%, with a draw backable at 16/5. If you fancy some goals, BTTS is 4/7 and over 2.5 goals is priced at 1/2

Arsenal to win to nil @ 21/10

Arsenal have kept four clean sheets out of their last five games in all competitions, including games against Manchester City and Porto. They’ve only conceded one goal in that time, to Brentford after an Aaron Ramsdale mistake and look incredibly strong defensively.

They should win this game given how they have been playing, and backing them to win to nil makes perfect sense in my eyes, given Brighton’s current injuries. They are without their three key attackers and it is hampering them at this moment in time. They failed to score against Brentford in midweek and have only scored three goals in their last seven in all competitions. A blunt attack against the best defence in the league (only 24 goals conceded), spells trouble for Brighton.

Kai Havertz to score first and 3-0 Arsenal @ 66/1

A 66/1 shot. Because why not? I believe Brighton won’t score in this match, as I’ve just explained, while I also believe Arsenal will win fairly comfortably. I’ve picked out a 3-0 win here, as with all his attackers fully fit, Mikel Arteta just has so many options. They should be able to pen Brighton in and score at will, against a side that has been unable to land blows on the opposition of late.

I’ve also selected Kai Havertz to score first. The German international has found his feet at Arsenal and now being deployed alongside Martin Odegaard as the furthest players forward in this team, he should get plenty of goalscoring opportunities. He’s scored four goals in his last six league matches, and in a big Arsenal win, can bag first here.
