Brentford vs everton

Brentford will be aiming to give their home fans the same kind of performance that their travelling supporters have become used to seeing when they host Everton in the Premier League at the Gtech Community Stadium on Wednesday (19:30 kick-off).

Read on for my Brentford vs Everton prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Brentford vs Everton Betting Tips

  • Brentford to win @ 21/20
  • Bryan Mbeumo first goalscorer @ 9/2

Football Odds

The Bees will be targeting a top-half finish after climbing to 11th place in the table with three wins in their last four games, but all of those successes were on the road and they have gone six home matches in all competitions without a win.

Everton have climbed away from relegation trouble with some excellent results at the start of David Moyes' second spell in charge at Goodison Park and although they began the week in 14th place, the Toffees are now a comfortable 14 points above the bottom three with 12 league matches remaining.

Team News

Brentford captain Christian Norgaard has been ruled out due to concussion and Sepp van den Berg (knee), Josh Dasilva (knee), Rico Henry (hamstring), Aaron Hickey (hamstring), Mathias Jensen (adductor), Gustavo Nunes (back) and Igor Thiago (joint infection) are also unavailable.

Defender Ethan Pinnock made his first start since December against Leicester

Everton will be without Dominic Calvert-Lewin (hamstring), Armando Broja (ankle), Iliman Ndiaye (knee) and Dwight McNeil (knee), while Jesper Lindstrom is a doubt after going off against Manchester United due to illness.

Brentford vs Everton Odds

Brentford are 21/20 favourites at home, giving them an implied win probability of 48.8%, with Everton on offer at 5/2 and the draw priced at 11/4.

Over 2.5 goals is priced at 4/5, with under 2.5 at 1/1, and it's 8/11 that both teams score in the match and 11/10 that one or both teams fail to get on the scoresheet.

Brentford to win @ 21/20

Brentford have had some contrasting home and away form in recent weeks with four successive road wins in the league at the same time as they have taken just one point from their last five at home in the top flight.

Their performances at the Gtech Community Stadium don't seem quite as bad when you consider the quality of the opposition they have been facing at home, with their last six home league games being against the top five teams in the table before Tuesday's games as well as catching Tottenham on a good day three weeks ago.

They won against Newcastle and scored two late goals to draw 2-2 with Manchester City, while Darwin Nunez scored both goals in stoppage time when leaders Liverpool beat them 2-0.

The Bees have shown plenty of zip in winning away at Crystal Palace, West Ham and Leicester either side of their home defeat to Spurs and this looks a decent opportunity for Brentford to record their eighth home win of the season.

Everton have managed only three away wins in this campaign, although two of them have come in their most recent away trips to Crystal Palace and Brighton.

The Toffees scored a dramatic late equaliser to draw 2-2 with Liverpool in the recent Merseyside derby but allowed a 2-0 lead to slip through their hands at home to Manchester United on Saturday and could find this to be a tough midweek fixture.

Bryan Mbeumo first goalscorer @ 9/2

Bryan Mbeumo began the week in an impressive fifth place in the Premier League top goalscorer list and is having his best campaign yet for Brentford with 15 goals.

The Cameroon international notched his team's second goal in the 4-0 rout of Leicester last time out, but looks worth backing to get the scoring started against Everton.

Mbeumo scored the first goal from the penalty spot in the Bees' 2-1 win at Crystal Palace and also notched the opening goal of the game in the 3-1 home defeat to Arsenal last month and the 4-2 home win over Newcastle in December.
