Brentford vs Aston Villa Predictions
*odds correct at time of publication
Brentford are 11/8 favourites at home, with Aston Villa available at 15/8 and the draw priced at 11/4.
Over 2.5 goals can be backed at 1/2, with under 2.5 at 13/8, and it's 4/9 that both teams score in the match and 7/4 that at least one team fails to get on the scoresheet.
Team News
Brentford may have Mathias Jensen (groin) and Christian Norgaard (concussion) available again but Sepp van den Berg (knee), Rico Henry (hamstring), Josh Dasilva (knee), Gustavo Nunes (back), Aaron Hickey (thigh) and Igor Thiago (knee) are still out.
Pau Torres was back in the Villa squad in midweek after a foot injury and should be among the subs again. Amadou Onana (thigh) and Ross Barkley (knee) could be the visitors' only absentees while Marco Asensio and Jacob Ramsey are among those looking to get back in the starting line-up.
Over 3.5 goals @ 5/4
This clash between 10th and 11th in the table could not be further from the battles at the top and bottom of the Premier League table but both teams still harbour hopes of snatching a European place and Villa start the day just two points behind Newcastle in sixth.
Villa secured an excellent result with their 3-1 win over Club Brugge in Belgium on Tuesday, scoring two late goals, but they have found it hard to return to domestic action after their recent European adventures.
Following their Champions League games since the start of October, Unai Emery's team have drawn with Manchester United and Bournemouth, lost to Liverpool, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, drawn with West Ham and lost to Wolves.
Villa have played twice since Brentford were last in action and the home side should be raring to go after taking seven points from their last three league games.
The best bet on this match could be to expect at least four goals, as there were in their first meeting when Villa led 3-0 after just 34 minutes and Brentford got one back in the second half.
Both teams have scored in Villa's last four Premier League games while the teams combined for nine goals in their two meetings last season.

Bryan Mbuemo to score first @ 11/2
Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins got on the scoresheet against his former club in the teams' meeting at Villa Park, but Brentford have not lacked for goals since losing the services of Watkins and Ivan Toney.
The Bees have two sought-after forwards in Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa, who have 28 league goals between them this season.
Mbeumo is just ahead with 15 including the first goal of the game in the recent 2-1 win at Crystal Palace and the second strike in their 4-0 win at Leicester.
Wissa opened the scoring in the Leicester match and repeated the trick in the draw with Everton but Mbeumo is never far away from his next goal and could get the scoring started on Saturday, especially if Villa take time to get going after their midweek exertions.
