Jurgen Klopp may not love early kick-off times, but Saturday's early start at Brentford (12.30) offers his Liverpool side a chance to jump back into a four-point lead at the top of the Premier League.

The Bees boosted their survival bid with a 2-0 win at Wolves’ home last weekend and have taken something from their last two tussles with the Reds in West London.

We’ve put together a Bet Builder for what could be an entertaining lunchtime tussle at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Brentford vs Liverpool Bet Builder Tips:

  • Liverpool to win

  • Diogo Jota to score anytime

  • Darwin Nunez 1+ assists

  • Over 2.5 goals

#PickYourPunt pays at 13/2

Liverpool to win

Liverpool appear to have the measure of Brentford now after some uncomfortable games against the Bees - particularly at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Klopp packed his team full of set-piece specialists at Anfield earlier this season and his side ran out 3-0 winners.

Despite the German’s dislike for this Saturday slot, Liverpool have an enviable record in lunchtime kick-offs this season – winning three and drawing one of their four games so far.

And with Mohamed Salah expected to return from injury this weekend, Liverpool should have enough firepower to put Brentford in their place.

Diogo Jota to score anytime

Fresh from collecting the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for January, Diogo Jota could be the dangerman again for Klopp’s Reds.

The Portuguese attacker, who rounded off the scoring against the Bees at Anfield in November with the hosts’ third, headed home from a corner against Burnley last weekend to make it five goals in his last six games.

His deadly form is underlined by the fact that he has converted more than 25 per-cent of his shots this season, which is more than the likes of fellow Liverpool forwards Salah (17 per-cent), Luis Diaz (11 per-cent) and Darwin Nunez (10 per-cent).

Darwin Nunez 1+ assists

Despite his disappointing conversion rate and overall goal return since he arrived at Anfield, Nunez is undroppable at the moment because of his ability to create goals.

Across all competitions, the former Benfica star has 23 goal contributions with 12 goals and 11 assists to his name — already better numbers than he managed during the entirety of last season.

The Uruguayan has seven assists in the Premier League and should be a potent source of penalty box entries this weekend against a Bees side that has shipped 11 goals in their last four home league games.

Over 2.5 goals

Goals really should not be a problem for Liverpool given the Bees’ recent defensive record, but the hosts should be well capable of ensuring the match sees three or more strikes hitting the back of the net.

Brentford have scored at least one goal in 11 of their 12 home league games this term and conceded two or more in eight of those games.

Meanwhile, two-thirds of Liverpool’s Premier League games this season have seen three or more goals scored.
