Brentford to win to nil

Brentford are yet to win at home this season, but the Bees are unbeaten in seven at this ground going back to last season.

The visit of struggling Everton looks like a good chance to secure three points in front of their own fans, and the Toffees have only managed to pick up one point from five games and have only scored twice, conceding nine goals themselves in the process.

I think the Bees probably deserved more in their draws with Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, so I think they can take the three points here. I have no faith in Everton getting on the scoresheet as their only two goals this season have come in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield United.

Bryan Mbeumo to score anytime

Bryan Mbeumo is Brentford’s leading scorer and has scored four of their eight league goals so far, so I’m backing the 24-year-old to add to his tally on Saturday.

As mentioned, Everton have conceded nine goals in their five league outings, so Mbeumo should get chances to find the back of net.

He’s averaging 1.8 shots per 90 minutes for club and country this season, so I’m expecting him to test Jordan Pickford’s resolve this weekend.

Under 2.5 goals

Goals were hard to come by in the two meetings between the sides last season – they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in London, while Everton sneaked a 1-0 win at Goodison Park.

It’s hard to see the goals flying in here, either. Everton have scored the joint-fewest amount of goals in the entire league – along with Luton – while three of Brentford’s last four encounters across all competitions have resulted in under 2.5 goals scored.
