Bournemouth vs Wolves Prediction: Cunha goal will be in vain

AFC Bournemouth have the chance to go into the Champions League spots, should they win on Saturday afternoon (15:00) against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Vitality Stadium.
Wolves, meanwhile, are teetering just above the relegation zone after a dismal run of results. Below are my Bournemouth vs Wolves predictions, as well as all the latest team news and match odds.
Bournemouth vs Wolves Betting Tips
Team News
Andoni Iraola is still without as many as seven players through injury but has been boosted by the return of Alex Scott, who should be good for a place on the bench. Elsewhere he may be tempted to stick with the starting XI that won 3-1 on Saturday.
As for Vitor Pereira, he also has a string of players unavailable and there will be late assessments for both back-up keeper Sam Johnstone and Jorgen Strand Larsen. With Emmanuel Agbadou confirmed as out, it looks as though Santiago Bueno will replace him in the heart of the Wolves defence.
Bournemouth, to no surprise are as short as 3/5, implying a 62.5% probability of victory. Wolves, meanwhile, are priced out at 4/1 or a 20% chance. These two sides haven't drawn against one another since August 2022 and that's reflected by a 3/1 price for there to be a stalemate.
The meeting at Molineux in November ended 4-2 to the Cherries and goals are fancied once again, with both teams to score at 8/13, and over 2.5 total goals at just 8/15.
Justin Kluivert celebrated the birth of his first child last week but was still able to play 77 minutes of the Cherries' 3-1 win. He's expected to start here and is the shortest-priced option at 7/5 to score anytime. The in-form Dango Ouattara has four Premier League goals in his last three appearances and is 6/4 to add to that on Saturday.
As for Wolves, Matheus Cunha has scored in three straight games and looks appealing at 9/4.
Bournemouth to win and both teams to score @ 2/1
The Cherries are fourth in the recent form table behind only Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City, after picking up 13 points from their last six matches with a superb +9 goal dfference.
Iraola has Bournemouth playing some fabulous football with the likes of Kluivert, Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo presenting a challenge for any Premier League defensive unit.
Only table-topping Liverpool have beaten Bournemouth since the 23rd November, in a run that has seen them rise up the table into a genuine contender for Champions League football.
I see them having no difficulty here in dispatching a poor-looking Wolves side but I don't think they will have it entirely their own way as you will see in my second selection below.

Matheus Cunha to score anytime (BetBuilder) @ 9/4
One of the only remaining shining lights coming out of WV1 at the moment is Matheus Cunha. The Brazilian is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League currently, scoring some wonderful goals out of virtually nothing. How long Wolves can hang on to him is another matter but he is in red-hot form right now and I'm gonna jump onboard the Cunha goal-train!
The 25-year-old has 77 shots this season, which is fifth most in the Premier League and averages out at 3.2 per game. He's bagging goals every other game with 12 this season already. He also tends to score in bunches with a goal in his last three games and has two other spells this season with three goals in as many games.
Ultimately it won't be enough to save the Old Gold on this occasion but it should at least give them a fighting chance.
