Bournemouth vitality stadium scaled

After what felt like the world’s longest international break, the Premier League returns on Saturday and we have a tea-time treat to look forward to as Bournemouth host title challengers Arsenal at the Vitality Stadium. This fixture, live on Sky Sports at 17:30, should be a sizzling affair and given both Manchester City and Liverpool play on Sunday, three points would send the Gunners to the top of the Premier League table.

Below you will find my Bournemouth vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips as Mikel Arteta’s side target another important three points.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Bet Builder Tips

  • Arsenal to win to nil
  • Gabriel to score
  • HT/FT - Arsenal/Arsenal

It won’t come as too much of a surprise that I am backing Arsenal to win, as the title challengers look to march on. The international break may have stopped their momentum slightly, but their form is still good heading into this one. The Gunners have won four in a row in all competitions, with an impressive victory against PSG the highlight of this run.

Prior to that, they also had that belting game at the Etihad Stadium when they came within a minute of securing a monumental victory against their title rivals. Last time out they cruised past Southampton with a 3-1 win at home, and it feels like they are clearly now one of the elite teams in the Premier League. The change from a couple of seasons ago with the Gunners is that it no longer feels like they will drop points against ‘teams like Bournemouth’.

I mean no disrespect to the Cherries, who sit 13th after a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Leicester City last time out. They’ve failed to score in three of their last four games and as a result, I think they will lose this game without finding the net, which brings us to my first selection. William Saliba may have given away a penalty in comedic fashion while on international duty, but Arsenal still have one of the best defences in the division, conceding just six times so far and I think a clean sheet beckons.

I have been impressed with Antoine Semenyo’s output so far this term, but this should be a fairly straightforward win for Arsenal, who can get their title charge back up and running on the South Coast. I also have picked out Gabriel to find the net at any time during this match based on a couple of things.

Firstly, the usual goalscoring suspects for Arsenal have injury issues. Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard all have different problems and could miss out here, which means that Arsenal may have to turn to their beloved set pieces to find goals. Their main threat from corners and free-kicks is of course Gabriel, and he has scored two of Arsenal’s three set-piece goals this season so far, including one against Man City.

Meanwhile Bournemouth have conceded twice from set-pieces and I think Gabriel could step up to the plate and find the net once again - at big odds. We can round off this Bet Builder by backing Arsenal to be leading at half-time and full-time, just to extend our odds to 22/1. I think they will just be a class above Bournemouth on Saturday, and I’m expecting a pretty quick start from the away side.
