Both Teams To Score - Yes

Predicting the results of either team has proved almost impossible this season, and particularly in recent weeks. Bournemouth were on a five-game unbeaten run until coming unstuck at Luton Town last Saturday, where the Hatters came from behind to secure victory in the 90th minute.

Against all odds, Manchester United went and claimed a point against title challengers Liverpool on the Sunday. The Red Devils were absolutely battered for the first 50 minutes, but a mistake from the visitors handed them an opportunity to equalise and they subsequently took the lead before surrendering it late on.

Erik ten Hag's side are now three games without a win, though, and the performances have been awful against Liverpool, Chelsea and Brentford. They also lost the reverse fixture 3-0 against Bournemouth at Old Trafford in December.

I'm not willing to stick my neck out on the result given Man United seem to defy any logic, but I'm pretty confident that both teams will score on Saturday. The Cherries have found the net in each of their previous six matches, while United have scored in their last 17 since a 2-0 loss at West Ham United on December 23.

Bournemouth have conceded 55 goals in the 2023/23 Premier League - only six clubs have shipped more - while United have let in nine across their last four in all competitions.

Bournemouth Over 5.5 Shots On Target

Saturday's hosts have hit the target 151 times in the Premier League this season, which averages out at 4.9 per game, and in their last four at the Vitality Stadium, the Cherries have registered six (v Crystal Palace), four (v Everton), 10 (v Luton) and 12 (v Sheffield United).

In a different season, you may look at those teams and think 'well, they're all a level, or two, or three, below Man United'. However, those are the sorts of clubs the Red Devils keep company with this season, at least in terms of the shots they face, and the number they land on target. In fact, that's doing a disservice to the majority of them as only the Blades (17.9) have allowed more shots per game than Man United (17.7).

Meanwhile, only Chris Wilder's side (6.7), Burnley (5.7), West Ham (5.6) and Bournemouth (5.1) allow more shots on target against them per game than Ten Hag's team (five). United's last eight in the Premier League have read seven, 10, five, six, eight, five, four, and 10.

Total Corners Over 10.5

Saturday's match is also a meeting between two sides who witness plenty of corners. Man United games average 13.2 corners in this season's Premier League (six for and 7.3 against) - more than any other side - while Bournemouth are just down in third on 11.5 (6.2 for and 5.2 against).

There were a whopping 14 corners in December's head-to-head with Man Utd winning 10 and conceding four.

It's a fixture which has been dominated by corners over the years with the previous nine to that seeing nine, 11, 11, 14, nine, 14, 13, 13, and 17.

#PickYourPunt pays @ 13/5

Bournemouth are priced at 7/5 to win on Saturday, while the visitors can be backed at 13/8 to take all three points, giving them an implied win probability of 38%. A draw can be backed at 3/1, BTTS - Yes is 4/11 and over 2.5 goals is 2/5.

Betfred are running their famed Double Delight & Hat-trick Heaven offer on this match, meaning that if a player scores first and then nets again, you will be paid at double the odds. If he grabs a hat-trick, you will be paid at treble the odds!
