‘The Group of F’ continues in the Champions League, with another clash between European heavyweights on Wednesday night. Borussia Dortmund host AC Milan and we’ve previewed the game, as well as suggesting a couple of interesting betting angles.

Borussia Dortmund vs Milan Betting Tips

  • Draw and Both Teams To Score – 3/1
  • Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic 1+ Shot on Target each – 13/5

Dortmund (13/10) find themselves already rooted to the bottom of the group of death in Champions League Group F, after an opening loss to Paris Saint-Germain.

Things won’t get a great deal easier on Wednesday, when Milan (7/4) come to Westfalenstadion, trying to find their own first victory in the competition.

AC played out a goalless draw with Newcastle at the San Siro a fortnight ago, despite having the huge majority of football and chances in the game.

Borussia have had a decent start to their domestic campaign and are unbeaten after six Bundesliga games, sitting fourth in the table, just two points behind leaders Leverkusen.

Edin Terzic will have been encouraged by their 3-1 win over high-flying Hoffenheim at the weekend and three straight wins show things are starting to click on the North Rhine.

Milan are level on points with their bitter rivals, Inter, at the top of Serie A, despite capitulating to a 5-1 loss to their city neighbours back in mid-September.

Stefano Pioli’s men have responded tremendously since that setback, winning three straight games and only conceding a single goal in that timeframe.

With such a competitive group and all four sides in Group F believing they will progress, every single game carries a huge amount of pressure and reward.

Team news

Marcel Sabitzer is still struggling with the muscle injury he picked up against PSG and may not be fully fit to return here. Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey are both confirmed as definitely out.

For Pioli, there are as many as five Milan players unavailable, including Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ismaël Bennacer and Rade Krunic. Christian Pulisic may retain his starting place, after shining against Lazio at the weekend.

Draw and Both Teams To Score – 3/1

Both these sides have shown an inability to keep a clean sheet this season, with Milan famously shipping five against Inter and Dortmund conceding in six of their eight fixtures in all competitions.

I’m expecting goals at Signal Iduna Park and think we could be in for a highly entertaining fixture on Wednesday evening.

The two teams are in good form domestically and that should transfer on to the European stage here. I can’t pick a winner between the two, so am going to plump for a score draw.

Rafael Leao and Christian Pulisic 1+ Shot on Target each – 13/5

Both Leao and Pulisic impressed on Saturday, as Milan dispatched Lazio 2-0.

The Portuguese forward set up both goals, including the opener for Pulisic and was unlucky not to register a goal for himself.

Each man has three goals in Serie A this season and are averaging 0.9 and 1.0 shots on target per game.

With each player sat opposite sides of Olivier Giroud, they should see ample opportunities for knock-ons from the big French forward.
