Bolton vs Huddersfield Prediction: Stalemate on the cards

The international break is toast and we're back to the nitty gritty of the domestic footballing scene. There's a cracking-looking clash in EFL League 1, between two old titans of the game and we've sent our Bolton-based Terrier into action, to give us his Bolton vs Huddersfield Prediction and overall thoughts on the game.
It will feel like old times on Saturday for these two famous clubs, as over 22,000 pack in to the Reebok, Macron, UniBol, I mean ToughSheet Stadium, in what should be a raucous affair. Both these sides have seen far better times and this will be one of the biggest games played at this level this season.
As someone who lives just a stones throw away from the Middlebrook and is a lifelong Terrier, it's my cup-final so to speak and my poor children have school and college bragging rights on the line in this one.
For the teams themselves, it's a chance to get back on track, after two equally poor results last time out in the third tier, with Wanderers losing 2-0 at home to Exeter and Town losing another lead and another man away to Rotherham.
Bolton fans are rightly pretty anxious about the way the losing play-off finalists have started their campaign this term and Ian Evatt has found himself under some serious pressure heading into this one. Wanderers Chairman Sharon Brittan doesn't appear to be the type to make hasty decisions but another loss here in front of a bumper crowd could force her hand.
As for Michael Duff, a perfect start has turned into a bit of a mess recently, with three straight losses in all competitions, including two cup defeats against League Two outfits. Not only that but they were up in all three games and went down to ten men in two of them. The Terriers simply have to arrest that slide and get a positive result on the road.
Team news
Evatt is without Greek midfielder Klaidi Lolos, as well as central defender Will Forester for the visit of the Terriers. He is also missing Jordi Osei-Tutu for around six weeks with a knee injury picked up in the Bristol Street Motors win over Barrow.
Meanwhile, Duff needs to get some discipline instilled in the Town squad, as he misses both Matty Pearson and Danny Ward through red-card suspensions and finds himself watching the game from the stands, after picking up a touchline ban following his own sending off at Rotherham two weeks ago.
Injury-jinxed striker Rhys Healey is unavailable again with a hamstring strain but Duff has a boost on the attacking front with Bojan Radulovic back in contention after injury, as well as new free-agent pick up Freddie Ladapo.

Bolton are the fancied 23/20 favourites to secure their second victory of the season on Saturday afternoon, giving the Trotters an implied win probability of 46.5%, while Huddersfield are 9/4, or a 30% chance, to pick up the three points.
The draw is available at 5/2, both teams to score at 4/6, and over 2.5 total goals at 5/6.
Dion Charles couldn't get on the scoresheet in Northern Ireland's two Nations League games but is still the 7/4 favourite in the anytime scorer market.
Match Result - Draw @ 5/2
After speaking to my Bolton-supporting mates after the Exeter loss, I was informed that we were gonna 'batter them' and other such platitudes. I calmly told them that Town wouldn't be battering anyone and haven't looked convincing in any game since the 3-0 win over Morecambe over a month ago.
Simply put, I have no real conviction of either of these teams getting over the winning line here and I think secretly neither manager would be devastated with a point apiece. It would get both sides back on track and give them a footing for future games down the line.
Both outfits appear porous at the back and I think we might see a fairly high-scoring, entertaining score-draw on Saturday.

Josh Koroma - Anytime goal scorer @ 5/2
The 25-year-old Sierra Leone international should be absolutely tearing League 1 to shreds with his ability and pace. The fact that he's not and has just one goal from four league appearances says a lot about where his head is right now. Whereas in the past, he would have opened up his body and curled the ball into the far corner without thinking, now he's taking an extra touch and hitting it straight at the keeper.
His chances do keep coming though and that electric pace does get him into some wonderful positions. He is averaging 2.8 shots per game this season, which is second only behind the crocked Rhys Healey, so Koroma does love firing off shots when he gets a sniff.
I like his chances of grabbing his second league goal of the season on Saturday. However, I don't think it will be enough to give the Terriers that all-important fourth league win.
