Bologna vs AC Milan Prediction: Dan the man to back on Thursday

Midweek action in Serie A comes from the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara on Thursday (19:45) as sixth-place Bologna host an AC Milan outfit one place below but on the same number of points.
Below are my Bologna vs AC Milan predictions, supported by all the latest team news and match odds.
Bologna vs AC Milan Betting Tips
Team News
Swedish full-back Emil Holm (thigh) missed Bologna's 2-0 defeat at Parma last Saturday and will be absent again for the visit of Milan on Thursday.
Jens Odgaard has missed the last three games with a thigh injury but has recovered quicker than expected and could be named on the bench at the Renato Dall'Ara.
Charalampos Lykogiannis, Lewis Ferguson, Riccardo Orsolini and Benjamin Dominguez are all candidates to be promoted to Vincenzo Italiano's starting XI.
Emerson Royal, Kyle Walker (both muscle), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (thigh) and Alessandro Florenzi (knee) are all out injured for Milan, who could make changes to their starting XI following last Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Torino.
Youssouf Fofana, Samuel Chukwueze and Tammy Abraham will each be hoping to earn a start here following substitute appearances in Torino.
Milan boss Sergio Conceicao could drop one or more of his 'Fab Four' of Rafael Leao, Joao Felix, Christian Pulisic and Santiago Gimenez after some lacklustre attacking performances.
Bologna have won their last three Serie A home matches and six of their last eight. I Rossoblu are, however, slight underdogs on Thursday, with their price of 9/5 implying a 35.7% win probability. Milan, meanwhile, are offered up at 8/5 (38.5%), despite losing two of their last three travel games in the league.
Three of the last five head-to-heads between these two teams, including the only one last year (2-2 in January 2024), have finished level, and you can back another draw here at 9/4.
Milan's big January recruit Gimenez is 9/5 favourite in the anytime goalscorer market followed by Bologna's Orsolini (9/4).
Anytime Goalscorer - Dan Ndoye (BOL) @ 3/1
I've regularly shone a light this season on Dan Ndoye's ability to draw fouls and win free-kicks, but I haven't been as enthusiastic about his goalscoring record, and for good reason, with the Switzerland international scoring once in Serie A last season and three times in his first 19 competition outings this term.
The 24-year-old bagged a brace in a 3-2 Valentine's Day win over Torino, though, taking his Serie A season tally to five, and he'll go in search of a sixth on Thursday against a vulnerable Milan side.
Ndoye's first goal against Il Toro just under two weeks ago saw him race onto a through ball and finish from a tight angle; his second was a well-taken penalty into the goalkeeper's right-hand corner.
The former Basel and Nice forward has now scored both spot-kicks he has taken for Bologna; the first was in November's 3-0 win over Venezia.
I Rossoblu have struggled to score many goals recently, blanking in a goalless draw with Lecce and last Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Parma either side of a 3-2 win against Torino, meaning Ndoye has struck two of their last three.
At 3/1, Ndoye provides great value in the anytime goalscorer market, and whether it be via open play or a penalty, I think he can make it back-to-back home games with a goal.

Home Team Total Goals - Over 1.5 @ 6/4
There looks to be some value in backing at least a couple of Bologna goals on Thursday.
Italiano's side have struggled to strike many on their travels recently but have scored at least twice in six of their last seven Serie A home games including their previous five at the Renato Dall'Ara.
Milan, meanwhile, have conceded at least two goals in 58.3 per cent (seven) of their 12 league matches away from home.
The visitors look devoid of confidence at the moment and the hosts will be looking to hit I Rossoneri while they're down.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
