This fixture has the potential to be a high-scoring affair, with both sides showing flair in front of goal in recent weeks.

Although poor form has seen Blackburn plummet down the table to 18th in the Championship, their home form has been one of few shining lights, with Rovers finding the net in front of their own fans in each of their last five games.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men rank in the top half for goals scored in the Championship this season, but their abject defence has cost them on too many occasions, with no side conceding more than their 53 in the league.

This may offer hope for Wrexham, who are no strangers to higher-level scalps in recent years, in their bid to claim victories over second tier opposition for the second year running.
