Monday night sees more FA Cup fourth round action and the potential for an upset as out-of-form Championship side Blackburn Rovers host Wrexham, owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, who are second in League Two and pushing for promotion.

Rovers overcame League One Cambridge United in the last round thanks to a first half hat-trick from top scorer Sammie Szmodics in a 5-2 victory, while the Red Dragons also overcame third tier opposition in a 1-0 win at Shrewsbury Town.

We have chosen a #PickYourPunt treble coming in at 14/1 for this encounter.

This fixture has the potential to be a high-scoring affair, with both sides showing flair in front of goal in recent weeks.

Although poor form has seen Blackburn plummet down the table to 18th in the Championship, their home form has been one of few shining lights, with Rovers finding the net in front of their own fans in each of their last five games.

Jon Dahl Tomasson’s men rank in the top half for goals scored in the Championship this season, but their abject defence has cost them on too many occasions, with no side conceding more than their 53 in the league.

This may offer hope for Wrexham, who are no strangers to higher-level scalps in recent years, in their bid to claim victories over second tier opposition for the second year running.

The North Wales side defeated Coventry 4-3 in the third round last season and also drew 3-3 with Sheffield United in the following round, before succumbing to a 3-1 defeat in the second leg.

Wrexham should have enough to cause serious problems for this frail Blackburn back line, and could send this game to a replay.

Paul Mullin to score anytime

Wrexham have been fantastic in their return to the Football League, with the side firmly in the race for a League One spot.

Only three teams have scored more than Wrexham’s 54 league goals this season, with goals largely being shared by Elliott Lee and Paul Mullin.

The latter could find himself on the scoresheet again on Monday night, with the striker in a purple patch of form with three goals in his last five games in all competitions.

Sammie Szmodics to score anytime

If it was not for the exploits of Irish midfielder Sammie Szmodics, Blackburn could be bottom of the table in the Championship.

The 28-year old is enjoying his best-ever goalscoring season with 16 league goals, which also puts him top of the charts in the division.

Three goals in the last round continued his scintillating form and he could cause havoc against lower league opposition, especially given that he has scored five in his last four appearances.
