QPR could make a host of Championship teams nervous about relegation if they collect three points from their trip to Balckburn on Saturday, but they have won just one of their last ten games.

Rovers are one of those teams who could be dragged into the dogfight, but they should be buzzing after a 4-1 home win over Wrexham in the FA Cup on Monday.

Team News

Blackburn will be without Callum Brittain, who limped out of Rovers’ 4-1 FA Cup win over Wrexham on Monday but hopes are high that Harry Leonard will be available after illness.

Hayden Carter and Harry Pickering are out long-term but Connor O’Riordan could be back in the frame after being cup-tied.

Rayan Kolli and Charlie Kelman are unavailable for QPR, who will assess Reggie Cannon closer to kick-off after he limped out of the early stages of their 1-1 Championship draw with Huddersfield at the weekend.

Match Odds

Blackburn are EVS to gain a much-needed league success, while QPR are 13/5 to claim what would be only their second away success since September. The draw trades at 5/2.

Both teams have scored in five of Rovers’ last six league games and such an eventuality is available at 4/6, while over 2.5 goals can be backed at 4/5 in this Ewood Park tussle.

Blackburn to win @ EVS

Blackburn could just edge this one even though neither of these Championship outfits are in good form.

Rovers have claimed just two points from their last seven matches but there has been enough in their FA Cup victories over Cambridge and Wrexham that suggests they could turn the corner.

They scored nine goals in those two matches and face a QPR team who were unable to build on their 2-0 home victory over Millwall when they rescued a point against Huddersfield on Sunday with an injury-time goal.

They have won just one away game since a surprise 2-0 success at Middlesbrough and they could struggle to keep the division’s leading marksman Sammie Szmodics in check.

#PickYourPunt - Over 2.5 goals, Sammie Szmodics to score & Jack Colback to be carded @ 13/2

There are three elements to the #PickYourPunt bet, of which the first is over 2.5 goals, which has happened in seven of Rovers’ last eight Championship matches.

They also beat Cambridge 5-2 and Wrexham 4-1, so the Ewood Park faithful have become used to witnessing plenty of goals.

Samme Szmodics scored five goals in those two matches and has netted 16 times in the second tier this season, so expect him to make a big impression and contribute to the scoring once more.

Meanwhile, the third element is a booking for QPR midfielder Jack Colback, something that has happened in seven of his last ten appearances for the London outfit, so there is a strong chance he could fall foul of the officials again.
