Football Bet of the Day: 12/5 shot for Monday

Monday's football bet of the day comes from the Uefa Nations League League A Group Two clash between European heavyweights France and Belgium.
Didier Deschamps’ side will be looking to bounce back from Friday's defeat to Italy, while Belgium will be hoping that their matchday one victory against Israel will act as springboard for further success on Monday night.

France were caught cold in their opening Nations League encounter against Italy, losing to the Euro 2020 champions 3-1. That defeat leaves Les Bleus bottom of their group so they can ill-afford to drop any further points on Monday night.
The French seized the lead against Italy after just 13 seconds through Bradley Barcola, but were eventually left empty-handed, losing to their Italian counterparts for the first time in 70 years.
Deschamps was in charge for a French victory in the 2021 Nations League final, but his team finished a distant third in their group last time around, accumulating only five points from six games.
Under Uefa's new format for 2024/25, the nation that finishes bottom of each League A group will be automatically demoted, while third-placed teams must take part in a relegation playoff.
Only the top pair in Group Two will qualify for a new quarter-final stage, so France are already three points adrift of their main rivals and cannot afford to slip further behind.
Belgium joined Italy at the top of Group Two after enjoying a 3-1 win over Israel, thanks to a captain's performance from Kevin De Bruyne as the Manchester City midfielder bagged a brace.
Lois Openda rounded off a comprehensive victory for Domenico Tedesco's side, who will now seek revenge for their tame exit from Euro 2024, which came at the hands of France just two months ago.
France hold the psychological advantage heading into Monday's encounter winning in each of these nations' last three meetings. For all the plaudits Belgium received for their attacking display against Israel, they still look vulnerable at the back and I think France can take advantage of that.
However, the Belgians still have the firepower to get on the scoresheet, especially against a backline that will be low on confidence.
