Belgium vs Wales Betting Tips

  • Draw or Wales - double chance @ 15/8
  • Maxim De Cuyper anytime goalscorer @ 5/1

Team news

Belgium boss Rudi Garcia may decide to make some alterations from the side that drew 1-1 against North Macedonia last time out, with Amadou Onana pushing to take the place of Hans Vanaken in midfield.

In attack, Lois Openda and Leandro Trossard could be brought in to replace Jeremy Doku and Alexis Saelemaekers.

Wales defender Neco Williams is an injury doubt after he was stretchered off 21 minutes into the 3-0 win over Liechtenstein on Friday, with Jay Dasilva in line to take his place in the starting XI.

Craig Bellamy is expected to stick with the other 10 starters from that comfortable success, with Kieffer Moore leading the line once again.

Match odds

Belgium are the 2/5 favourites to pick up all three points, with the draw priced at 18/5 and Wales 7/1 to make it three wins from four World Cup Group J qualifying matches.

Draw or Wales - double chance @ 15/8

It has been a seamless start to managerial life for Wales boss Bellamy, who has won five and drawn four of his first nine matches in charge of the national side.

A first manager’s job can be difficult at the best of times, but taking over a Wales side that appeared to be in decline only increased the complexity of the challenge that faced the ex-Manchester City forward.

But the 45-year-old has managed to galvanise the current crop of players and after finishing top of Nations League Group B4, earning promotion to League A, the Dragons have collected seven points from three World Cup qualifying games.

Wales sit top of the Group J, two points clear of second-placed North Macedonia, and a positive result against a Belgium side who are down in fourth position on one point will go a long way to securing a place in the 2026 World Cup.

The Red Devils just retained their place in League A of the Nations League after edging past Ukraine in a play-off and they were held to a 1-1 draw at North Macedonia in their opening World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Garcia has been in charge of Belgium for just three games and he still appears to be trying to find out his best starting XI, making this a prime opportunity for Wales to come away from the King Baudouin Stadium with at least a point.

Maxim De Cuyper anytime goalscorer @ 5/1

Club Brugge full-back Maxim De Cuyper is one player who has thrived since the appointment of Garcia, but it is the 24-year-old's attacking talent that has caught the eye more than his defending.

De Cuyper has scored in his last two appearances for Belgium, grabbing the opening goal against both Ukraine and North Macedonia, and he could be worth a look at 14/1 to break the deadlock in Brussels.
