Bayern Munich to win

Munich had their first hiccup of the season on Friday evening, conceding a late penalty to Bayer Leverkusen, which sent the latter to the top of the Bundesliga, with Bayern just in behind them.

Prior to that, the Bavarians had started perfectly, with three straight wins and nine goals in their opening triumvirate of fixtures.

Meanwhile, Manchester United have had a decidedly iffy start to the season, losing three of their first five, for their worst ever start in the Premier League era.

Obviously these two sides have history, 1999 and all that but Munich are by far the stronger right now and should win this one comfortably, given United’s issues both on and off the pitch.

Both Teams to Score

While United are at a nadir right now, they still seem to have no issues scoring.

The Red Devils have netted in four of their opening five Premier League games and have enough attacking quality from the likes of Marcus Rashford, new boy Rasmus Hojlund and Bruno Fernandes, to at least get on the scoresheet in Munich.

With that in mind BTTS looks a sensible option.

Harry Kane to Score

Oh, what could have been…

England’s record scorer could very well have ended up at Old Trafford after a summer of speculation but he must be delighted he made the right choice to go abroad now?

Whilst the Theatre of Dreams currently resembles more one of nightmares, Kane’s time in Germany couldn’t have gone more to script.

Four goals in four Bundesliga games for the 30-year-old have seen him slot straight back into the scoring groove, after a wonderful 2022/23 campaign for Spurs.

Bruno Fernandes to be carded

The Portuguese was allegedly rumoured to have been involved in a dressing room bust up after the Brighton game, after a confrontation with Scott McTominay.

Fernandes needs no excuse to lose his rag and has already accumulated three yellow cards this season, in just five starts.

If United are taking a beating, then don’t be surprised to see the 29-year-old booked for a rash challenge or dissent.
