Team News

Perth Glory boss Adam Griffiths has revealed that skipper Adam Taggart, who missed the 1-0 home defeat to Adelaide United on December 20 before coming off the bench in the 3-1 win at Melbourne City eight days later and the 3-2 defeat at Melbourne Victory on January 2, is in contention to start on Saturday.

However, while attacking trio Jaiden Kucharski (unspecified), Seb Despotovski (calf) and Lachie Wales (unspecified) are all on track to return within the next couple of weeks, this weekend's game comes too soon for all three.

Joel Anasmo (Achilles), Zach Lisolajski (hamstring), Callum Timmins, Brandon O'Neill (both unspecified) and Cameron Cook (knee) are still sidelined, too.

Khoa Ngo, who came off the bench and scored Perth Glory's second goal against Melbourne Victory, completed a loan move to Vietnamese V.League 1 club Cong An Ho Chi Minh City earlier this week.

Football Odds

Central Coast Mariners are without Australian duo Nathan Paull and Dylan Peraic-Cullen, who are at the 2026 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia, while captain Trent Sainsbury (Achilles) is still in the treatment room.

Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners Predicted Lineups

  • Central Coast Mariners: Redmayne; Roux, Tapp, Donachie, Mauragis; Eame, Steele; Brandtman, McCalmont, Di Pizio; James Ngor

Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners Odds

Perth Glory, despite losing four of their last five home games, blanking in all four defeats, are 4/5 favourites to pick up all three points at HBF Park, implying a 55.6% probability of success. Central Coast Mariners, meanwhile, are 3/1, or a 25% chance, to secure back-to-back away wins following last Sunday's 4-0 thrashing of Adelaide United at Coopers Stadium, with the draw offered at 12/5.

Perth Glory vs Central Coast Mariners Stats

  • Lawrence (PER) has four goals in eight ALM apps
  • Sutton (PER) received six yellows in 23 ALM games for WEL last season
  • Two players have been booked for fouling Brantdman (CCM) in 25/26

Anytime Goalscorer - Tom Lawrence (PER) @ 7/4

Former Derby County and Rangers forward Tom Lawrence, who came through the ranks at Manchester United, has made a great start to life Down Under, scoring four goals in his first eight ALM appearances.

The 31-year-old opened his account in a 2-1 victory over Newcastle Jets on November 23 before quadrupling his tally with a hat-trick in his side's final game of the calendar year, a 3-1 win at Melbourne City on December 28.

Today's Football Fixtures

His strike partner, Taggart, heads the anytime goalscorer market on Saturday at 10/11, but it's Lawrence who's providing the value at 7/4.

Player to Receive a Card - Sam Sutton (PER) @ 4/1

Perth Glory left-back Sam Sutton received six yellows in 23 ALM appearances for Wellington Phoenix last season before sealing a switch to the Western Australia outfit.

One of Sutton's cautions came against the Mariners in a 3-0 win for the Nix in November 2024.

On Saturday, the 24-year-old could be tasked with marking Mariners forward Bailey Brandtman, who has started his side's last two games on the right-hand side of a front four.

Brandtman is averaging 0.9 fouls won per game in the 2025/26 ALM season, despite four of his 11 outings coming from the bench, and two players, Newcastle Jets defender Max Cooper and Brisbane Roar midfielder Henry Hore, have been booked for upending him.

Sutton, then, looks like great value to receive a card on Saturday at 4/1.
