Team News

Sebastian Despotovski, back from a calf injury that has seen him miss Perth Glory's last five games, has been named in Adam Griffiths' extended squad for Friday alongside Adriano Lebib.

However, Jaiden Kucharski, Lachie Wales (both unspecified), Will Freney (hip), Joel Anasmo (Achilles), Callum Timmins, Brandon O'Neill (both calf) and Cameron Cook (knee) have all been ruled out of action.

Football Odds

Jacob Brazete, Milorad Stajic, James O'Shea (all leg) and Nathan Amanatidis (quad) are housed in Brisbane Roar's treatment room, but Justin Vidic, who has scored three goals in 12 ALM appearances this season, is back in the fold after being rested for last Friday's 2-0 loss at home to Auckland FC.

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Predicted Lineups

  • Perth Glory: Sutton; Shamoon, Wootton, Kaltack, Sutton; Ostler, De Abreu, Bozinovski, Pennington; Lawrence, Taggart
  • Brisbane Roar: Bouzanis; Salas, Bility, Valkanis, Ludwik, McGarry; Vrakas, Klein, Maieroni, Hore; Long

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Odds

Perth Glory, who have won three of the last four head-to-heads, are 21/10 favourites for Friday, implying a 48.8% probability of success, while Brisbane Roar are 9/4, or a 30.8% chance, to collect all three points at Suncorp for the second season running, with the draw offered at 9/4.

Perth Glory vs Brisbane Roar Stats

  • BRI have scored in five of their seven away games
  • BTTS-Yes has landed in the last four H2Hs at HBF Park
  • Klein (BRI) scored twice on his last visit to HBF Park (March 2025)

Both Teams To Score - Yes @ 4/5

Very rarely will you find an ALM game hovering around EVS for 'Yes' in the Both Teams To Score market, but that's what we have for this contest between the Glory and Roar on Friday.

I can understand the thinking behind the price of 4/5, as just 33% (four) of the Glory's 12 league games this season have seen BTTS-Yes land, and only 31% (four) of the Roar's 13 have gone the same way.

Friday's visitors haven't scored in their last three matches, either, and only Western Sydney Wanderers (nine) have struck fewer times this season than the Roar (11), who have conceded just 12 goals, too.

Today's Football Fixtures

However, this is a game in which Michael Valkanis will expect his side to respond against a side that finished four points behind them last season, picking up the dreaded wooden spoon.

Glory have secured big victories over Melbourne City (1-3) and Central Coast Mariners (3-0) in recent weeks, but it's still three defeats in their last five.

The Roar have scored in five of their seven away games, so they will head to HBF Park with the belief that they can get back on the goal trail, while Perth will be pumped up by their three-goal success over the Mariners last weekend.

Both teams have scored in the last four head-to-heads at this venue, and at these odds, I'm happy to back a fifth consecutive BTTS-Yes on Friday.

Anytime Goalscorer - Samuel Klein (BRI) @ 7/2

Brisbane midfielder Samuel Klein has fond memories of HBF Park, having bagged a brace there in his side's 3-1 victory last season (March 15, 2025).

Those two goals accounted for 40% of his 2025/26 tally (five), but he's only notched once in 12 appearances this term, the only strike of the game in a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory on November 28.

Still, the 21-year-old hasn't been shy to shoot, recording 11 shots across four post-Christmas outings, taking his season average to 2.3 per game (0.6 on target per game).

At 7/2, I like the odds of Klein getting back in the goals against a Glory outfit that recently shipped three goals in a 3-2 defeat to Melbourne Victory.
