Newcastle Jets vs Auckland Odds
Newcastle Jets, who have won the two previous head-to-heads this season, both in New Zealand (1-2, 1-3), are 7/5 to make it three from three on Saturday, implying a 41.7% probability of success. Marginal favourites Auckland, meanwhile, are 11/8, or a 42.1% chance, with the draw offered at 11/4.
Newcastle Jets vs Auckland Stats

Booking Points Over/Under +42.5 - Over 42.5 @ 5/4
Since Auckland's arrival to the ALM in 2024, the Black Knights have faced the Jets four times, including twice this season, and all four head-to-heads have produced at least three cards and 30 booking points.
The first, a 2-0 win for the New Zealanders at Go Media Stadium in November 2024, saw five yellows issued, amounting to 50 booking points, while the return fixture at McDonald Jones Stadium in March 2025 finished with two yellows and one red, adding up to 45 booking points.
The opening game between the two this season, the Jets' 2-1 win at Go Media Stadium in November, was the most disciplined of the four meetings so far, with just three yellows (30 booking points) awarded, but at the same venue on New Year's Day, seven yellows and one red (for two bookable offences) were recorded, totalling 85 booking points.
I'm backing another feisty fixture between the two teams this weekend in a top-of-the-table clash that could go a long way to deciding who claims the Premier's Plate, currently held by Auckland.

Away Team Total Goals - Under 1.5 @ 10/11
It wasn't too long ago that the Jets were still owners of the worst defensive record in the ALM, with Mark Milligan's men reliant on outscoring teams.
However, there have been huge improvements made to their back line over the last couple of months.
The Jets shipped 24 goals across their first 10 games of the season, but since the turn of the year, they've only conceded eight in the same number of matches, keeping three clean sheets compared to one.
In those first 10 games, Newcastle conceded 2+ goals six times, while in their most recent 10, they've only been breached more than once on one occasion, a 3-2 win at Adelaide United on February 8.
Granted, Auckland are the joint second-highest scorers in the division with 34 goals, behind only the Jets (43), and they've struck 10 times across their last three matches, registering at least two in all three.
However, twice this season the Black Knights have only managed a single goal against Newcastle, and in four career head-to-heads, they've only scored twice once, in that 2-0 victory in 2024/25 when 83rd and 89th-minute strikes from Neyder Moreno and Francis de Vries, respectively, secured all three points for Steve Corica's side.
