Macarthur FC, just outside the top six with just two rounds of fixtures remaining in the 2025/26 Australian A-League Men's season, pitch up at Coopers Stadium this Sunday (06:30 BST, TNT Sports 5), knowing they probably have to win to keep their finals dream alive. Their hosts, meanwhile, could end the weekend in third with a win, depending on other results.

Below are my Adelaide United vs Macarthur predictions, alongside all the latest team news and match odds.

Bet Builder - Adelaide United or Draw & Both Teams to Score @ 10/11

Adelaide are eight games unbeaten, but they've drawn five of their last six games, so while I'm confident they will avoid defeat on Sunday, the number of stalemates they have racked up recently put me off backing them for a win, so the best bet is to go with the Reds or a Draw in the Double Chance market.

Macarthur, meanwhile, have won just two of their last 11 games across all competitions (D3, L6), and suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at Perth Glory last weekend.

The Bulls won 2-1 in October's reverse fixture, but the sides played out a 1-1 draw at Coopers in their second meeting of the season in January, so a stalemate looks like a real possibility on Sunday.

Today's Football Fixtures

I'm also backing both teams to score, as they have done in the last seven head-to-heads.

Adelaide top the ALM's BTTS table, with 79% (19) of their 24 games this season seeing both teams score, including their last six.

Macarthur (63%) are mid-table for BTTS, but their last five matches have featured at least one goal on either side.

Anytime Goalscorer - Jonny Yull (ADL) @ 12/5

Adelaide's Jonny Yull has scored four league goals this season, and half (two) have come against Macarthur.

The 21-year-old, who has started all 14 of the Reds' games this calendar year, struck in his side's 2-1 loss at Campbelltown Stadium in October, before opening the scoring in January's 1-1 draw at Coopers.

Yull has failed to fire in his last six appearances, but he's supplied two assists in that time, so confidence shouldn't be too low, and he's recorded three shots in three of his last four matches, including in last week's 1-1 draw at Newcastle Jets, with his first effort forcing a save from the goalkeeper.
