Just a point separates Atalanta and Juventus in the Serie A table with both sides looking to land a top-four finish. Juve may well have aspirations beyond European qualification but the Old Lady will need to improve on recent efforts if they are to become title challengers.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men could only manage a narrow 1-0 win at home to Lecce last time out and, prior to that, Juventus suffered a shock 4-2 defeat at Sassuolo.

Atalanta are looking for a fourth straight victory after beating Rakow Czestochowa in the Europa League and Cagliari and Verona in Serie A.

The Goddess have lost twice on the road this season, but they rate a stronger outfit at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia and we should be set for an entertaining contest on Sunday.

Atalanta vs Juventus Betting Tips

  • Over 2.5 goals @ 5/6
  • Ademola Lookman to score first @ 13/2

Team news

Gianluca Scamacca and El Bilal Toure were signed to boost Atalanta’s forward output but the summer arrivals remain on the sidelines.

Mario Pasalic could partner Ademola Lookman in the Atalanta attack.

Alex Sandro, Mattia De Sciglio and Paul Pogba are all out for Juventus. The visitors could also be missing Moise Kean, who is struggling with a shin problem.

Dusan Vlahovic has recovered from a back issue and will be competing with Federico Chiesa and Arkadiusz Milik for a starting spot.

Over 2.5 goals @ 5/6

Atalanta are a forward-thinking side under manager Gian Piero Gasperini and the goals look set to flow when Juventus come to Bergamo.

The Goddess have scored seven goals in the three Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia games they have contested this season, Gasperini’s men have seen three of their last five Serie A contests go over the 2.5 goals mark while they have registered 54 shots on goal in their three home matches this campaign.

Juve have seen 11 goals scored in their three Serie A away matches and there have been 11 strikes in their last three league games. Going over 2.5 looks to be the bet on Sunday.

Ademola Lookman to score first @ 13/2

Striker Gianluca Scamacca had made a useful start to his Atalanta career as the Goddess looked to boost their goalscoring output with the signing of the Italian from West Ham. However, Scamacca has since picked up an injury and that has forced Gasperini to look for alternative attacking options.

Ademola Lookman has been operating in a more central role of late and that has seen the former Everton forward score two goals in his last three Serie A appearances.

Lookman should get plenty of opportunities against a Juventus side that conceded four goals in their last away league contest and the 25-year-old looks great value as the first goalscorer option.
