Manchester United are in desperate need of a win on Sunday afternoon (14:00, live on Sky Sports Main Event) when they travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa.

United threw away a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 in the Europa League contest against FC Porto on Thursday night, while Villa come into this contest on a high after enjoying a famous victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Team News

Villa didn’t rotate much for the win over Bayern Munich and that could lead to some switches for Unai Emery in this clash.

Amadou Onana was subbed off with a knock and is therefore now a doubt in midfield, with Ross Barkley likely to replace him alongside Youri Tielemans in the engine room. However, John McGinn remains absent.

As for United, Bruno Fernandes is free to play after his straight-red card against Spurs was rescinded, and he's likely to start alongside Manuel Ugarte, after the Uruguayan was an unused substitute in the aforementioned draw with Porto.

Marcus Rashford was subbed at half time against the Portuguese giants with Sunday's game in mind, so the England international looks set to start at Villa Park. Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount all remain sidelined and won't play a part here.

Villa are 6/5 to claim a fifth win in seven outings in the Premier League, giving them an implied win probability of 45.5%, while United are 2/1 to pick up what could be a crucial three points and the draw is 5/2.

Unsurprisingly, Ollie Watkins leads the anytime goalscorer market at 7/5, followed by his Villa teammate Jhon Duran at 13/8, while Joshua Zirkzee is United's most favoured option at 2/1, along with Rasmus Hojlund who is the same price.

Aston Villa to win @ 6/5

I can only see this match playing out one way, and all the signs point towards a Villa win.

Emery's side have picked up 13 points in their opening six Premier League matches this season, which is their best start to a campaign since 2008/09 under Martin O’Neill. After their midweek heroics against Bayern Munich, Villa have the chance to claim another big scalp on Sunday, and further ramp up the pressure on Ten Hag's shoulders.

United carelessly threw away a two-goal lead against Porto, after a promising start to the game, and they currently sit 13th in the table, after only winning two of their first six outings.

The Red Devils have actually won the past three meetings against Villa, including last season's tussle at Villa Park, but after the performances against Spurs and Porto, it makes sense to back the hosts here.

Jhon Duran to score anytime @ 13/8

A Jhon Duran goal from off the bench almost feels inevitable at this point, but I've opted to back the Colombian anytime incase Emery throws a spanner in the works and starts the 20-year-old as a result of his winner in midweek.

Duran has five goals as a substitute in all competitions this season, two more than any other player in Europe's top five leagues, and as mentioned, he stuck one past Manuel Neuer on Wednesday night to hand Villa a famous triumph over Bayern Munich.

The former Chicago Fire striker has scored four goals in his last four home appearances in the Premier League, with all of those coming from the bench, too. In addition, he's averaging a home goal in England's top-flight every 43 minutes, so he could prove to be a handful on Sunday.
