Arsenal welcome Leicester City to the Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday (15:00), hoping to get back to winning ways after they conceded an equaliser at the death at Manchester City last Sunday. The Gunners thumped Bolton 5-1 in the Carabao Cup in midweek which should give them a boost ahead of this clash.

The Foxes also got through to the fourth round of the cup but not in style. It took penalties for them to beat League 2 Walsall and the fans made their feelings clear towards boss Steve Cooper. Read on for my Arsenal vs Leicester prediction, including match odds and team news.

Arsenal vs Leicester Betting Tips

  • Arsenal to win to nil @ 8/11
  • Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer @ 6/5

Arsenal vs Leicester Odds

Arsenal 2/11 to win this match, giving them a theoretical chance of 84.6%. Leicester are priced at 16/1 to take the three points, which gives them an implied probability of 5.9%. The draw is on offer at 13/2 (13.3%).

Over 2.5 goals is available at 1/2 and both teams to score can be backed at 5/4.

Kai Havertz has scored two goals in the Premier League for Arsenal, and he was on the scoresheet against Bolton in midweek. He is valued at 6/5 to score anytime or 9/2 to open proceedings.

Leicester attackers Jamie Vardy and Stephy Mavididi have two goals in the top-flight themselves, and they are 4/1 and 6/1 respectively to score at any stage during this contest.

Team News

Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney are all in the treatment room for Arsenal, so Mikel Arteta is feeling a pinch with his squad depth at the moment.

David Raya picked up a muscle problem against Man City and was unable to play in the week, so he is deemed a doubt to return between the sticks this weekend. Neto was cup-tied so was unable to feature on Wednesday, so he would likely step up in Raya's absence.

The Gunners boss made eight changes in midweek, so the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli, and Thomas Partey are expected to be recalled. Jurrien Timber started ahead of Ben White last week, so Arteta has a tough call to make ahead of Saturday.

Leandro Trossard is available for selection after serving his one-game suspension against the Trotters. He could also be in contention to start against the Foxes. Raheem Sterling impressed on his full debut against Bolton, so he could be in contention to start in the final third too, especially when Martinelli has been struggling for goals and assists.

For Leicester, after a flat performance against Walsall, the fringe players who featured in midweek haven't given Cooper much to think about with regards to earning a starting place at the Emirates.

Vardy and Mavididi are set to return the starting lineup, having both been left out of the squad against the Saddlers. The likes of Jordan Ayew, Wout Faes and Oliver Skipp were on the bench at Walsall. The first two should be guaranteed returns to the team at Arsenal, while £25m man Skipp will be hoping for a promotion.

Arsenal to win to nil @ 8/11

The Gunners defended valiantly for 45 minutes at City despite being down to 10 men, which is a testament to the quality of their defensive players, while not ignoring the contributions from the midfielders and attackers.

I regard Saliba and Gabriel as one of the best defensive partnerships in the world right now and the best in the Premier League. Not only do they compliment each other really well, they both can do a bit of everything which makes them key for Arsenal's title charge.

Struggling Leicester are heading to north London with a severe lack of confidence as they are still waiting for their first league win of the season. Failing to score against a fourth-tier side in Walsall has also failed to do them any favours, so it hard to see them laying a glove on this Arsenal side.

The Gunners have more than enough quality to blow them away on home soil with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Havertz, Trossard and Martinelli, and I fancy them to post a clean sheet too. This is because Arsenal have kept the Foxes at bay in three of their last four meetings in the Premier League.

As well as this, the hosts have won five of their last seven matches in the top-flight to nil, so I think we will see this trend continue at the Emirates on Saturday.

Kai Havertz anytime goalscorer @ 6/5

Enough has been said about the revelation Havertz has been since swapping Chelsea for Arsenal. He has been thriving for the Gunners in the centre-forward role and as mentioned above he has two goals in the league already this campaign.

Those two goals have both come at home, against Wolverhampton Wanderers and Brighton & Hove Albion. He also added another goal on home soil against Bolton on Wednesday, so right now, the Emirates is his preferred hunting ground. It's a 100 per cent scoring record at home in 2024/25, which will give Havertz a lot of confidence.

I think it's only right to back him to keep this record going, especially when he is coming up against a Leicester side who are struggling at this moment in time.
