Wales face a crucial encounter on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 14:00), as they play Armenia in a pivotal Euro 2024 qualifier.

Rob Page’s men currently sit in second on ten points, level with third-placed Croatia and just three points ahead of Saturday’s opponents Armenia.

Below we have previewed the game and come up with a couple of selections for you to consider.

Armenia vs Wales Tips

  • Wales to win @ 19/20
  • Brennan Johnson to score anytime @ 21/10

Team News

Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson is back fit for Wales with David Brooks, Kieffer Moore and Harry Wilson also vying for a place in what could be a pacey frontline. Joe Morrell also returns following suspension but captain Aaron Ramsey is injured, and will miss this qualifier.

Match Odds

Wales are the 19/20 favourites to win this match on away soil, while Armenia are priced at 3/1. A draw is available at 12/5, BTTS is 10/11 and over 2.5 goals is 11/10

Wales to win @ 19/20

Armenia went to Cardiff and beat Wales 4-2 in one of the shock results of qualifying so far, but Rob Page has managed to turn things around since then. Wales looked dead and buried after that defeat, but in the time since, they have given themselves a lifeline.

They beat Latvia 2-0 and then, seismically, beat Croatia 2-1 at home last time out. Harry Wilson’s brace lifted them up to second spot on the head-to-head ruling, meaning that if they win their final two qualifiers, they will be at Euro 2024.

With a home game against group leaders Turkey to come however, it won’t be simple. Wales will see this Armenia clash as a must-win encounter and a draw will leave the door open for Croatia, who have Latvia and Armenia to play. You’d think Luka Modric and co. would pick up six points there, so all the pressure is on Wales. I believe they have enough about them to beat Armenia and gain revenge for the humiliation in Cardiff.

Brennan Johnson to score anytime @ 21/10

Wales have been looking for a star man since Gareth Bale retired and it seems as though Brennan Johnson is the man to step up to the plate. The 22-year-old made a big summer move to Tottenham Hotspur, and despite an injury issue, is now looking like a top player under Ange Postecoglou.

His searing pace is likely to cause Armenia all sorts of issues and combined with Wilson, Wales should have joy going forward. He scored in his last appearance for Spurs and the price of 21/10 on Johnson to find the net anytime, after an incredibly open reverse fixture, feels generous.
