Anderlecht vs Ferencvaros Prediction: Visitors to secure positive result

Anderlecht and Ferencvaros have had differing starts to their domestic campaigns and the two now go face-to-face to start their Europa League campaigns on Wednesday.
The Belgian side have won just three of their opening eight Jupiler Pro League matches, although they have tasted defeat just once. The Hungarians, meanwhile, are five for five in the OTP Bank Liga and have lost just one of their last 13 competitive matches so the visitors could cause some real issues for the hosts. Read on for my Anderlecht vs Ferencvaros predicition.
Anderlecht vs Ferencvaros Betting Tips
Team News
Anderlecht’s caretaker manager David Hubert has a few injury issues affecting his matchday selection, with veteran defender Jan Vertonghen (Achilles), former Borussia Dortmund winger Thorgan Hazard (knee) and ex-Brighton forward Anders Dreyer (knee) all expected to miss out.
Leander Dendoncker and Samuel Edozie - on loan from Aston Villa and Southampton respectively - both featured in the recent goalless draw with Charleroi and will likely feature.
Ferencvaros boss Pascal Jansen has a fully fit squad to select from and is unlikely to heavily deviate from the side that defeated MTK Budapest 3-1 last time out.
Denes Dibusz and Barnabas Varga - who were both part of the Hungary squad at the European Championships - are expected to start.

Home advantage makes Anderlecht the favourites in this encounter at 6/5, whereas visitors Ferencvaros are 23/10 to take all three points back to Hungary.
The draw provides odds of 12/5, while Kasper Dolberg can be backed at 11/2 to open the scoring at Lotto Park.
Double Chance - Draw or Ferencvaros @ 4/6
Anderlecht have failed to win any of their last four matches, three of which were played in front of their own fans at Lotto Park, so the Purple & White could struggle for victory in this encounter on Wednesday.
Ferencvaros on the other hand have been in a rich vein of form, winning nine of their 13 matches this season in all competitions, while they have also won four of their last five on the road.
The feel-good factor around the Hungarians should help them towards a result, however, a win is far from assured.
The hosts have lost just once in the league this season and so will be a difficult opponent to overcome. The double chance market therefore looks a good bet.

Barnabas Varga to score anytime @ 9/5
Varga had an eventful summer with Hungary - scoring in a 3-1 defeat to Switzerland before being rendered unconscious against Scotland - but he has started the domestic campaign with Ferencvaros in strong fashion.
The 29-year-old has two goals to his name this season and provides a major threat in the penalty area for the Greens.
At 9/5 the forward looks like a favourable choice in the goalscorer markets for a side who have failed to score in just two matches so far this season.
